hi again bigjoe, dont you think that by turning on slam zone, the HR numbers would incriase, and i think that they are just perfect with your default sliders..

Re: BIGFNJOE & GALLANDRO'S MLB 2K5 Pure Realism Sliders

OK, started my franchise with the Pure Realism Sliders. I just beat the Red-Sox in my home opener 5-4. Doing it in dramatic fashion. Sox jump-out early. Ramirez makes Johnson pay on a high fastball for a HR. 3 str8 hits in another inning & it's 2-0. Schilling is crusing along. Throwing smoke. Mixing his pitches with off-speed stuff. My hitter's a baffled. Thru 6 2 hits. Heart of the order leading off the 7th. A-ROD leadoff with a double of the center field wall. Sheffield follows with a single. A-ROD beats the throw to the plate. But wait what's this Sheff takes-off for second while the catcher tries to apply the tag & makes it. (CPU Assisted Baserunning-ON) Giambi then hit 1 in the gap Sheff scores tie game. Schilling yanked. Timlin comes in gives up the go ahead run Yanks lead 3-2. Sox heart of the order coming-up. I pull Johnson top 8. Felix Rodrigues now pitching. Ramirez lines out to Matsui. Ortiz growns to Tino @ 1st 2 away. Nixon singles. Rodriguez 1-2 to Nixon, GONE!!!!! Sox lead 4-3. Rodriguez hangs 1 Varitek makes him pay. Bottom 8 Timlin still in the game. Gt's both Jeter & Matsui. A-ROD steps to the plate. Single. 1st pitch to Sheff, driven to deep right, It has a chance: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME" a HR. The Yanks take the lead 5-4. Rivera comes in. 9th inning. Belhorn leads off. Slaps a liner towards the left field line looks like trouble, Matsui dives & makes the catch. HOLY COW. Put that 1 on sportscenter ladies & gents. Full extention & a beauty. Ahearn Grounds to womack on the Rivera Cutter. Damon grounds to Martinez another Rivera cutter.

The Yankees win, tttthhhhhhheeeeeeee Yankees win.

As for the sliders themselves. You don't have to change anything.

BigJoe, I wouldnt change anything if people are using K-Zone pitching, because I have been using these sliders as is. with K-Zone and the games of been great. I wouldnt change a thing. Thanks again.

Hi, just wondering why you don't recommend using K-zone pitching for this game; is it too easy? I played my first game with these sliders yesterday and had a good close one with Brewers vs. Cubs (6-4 victory) and I like them so far, but I was just wondering why you don't recommend using the K-zone.

Well, I have had little to any experience with K-Zone... and I don't think Joe has either, so these settings have not been tested with it, but DanSF49 has used them with K-Zone (see above post) and he likes them...

That is true the game plays great with these sliders and K-Zone, If you are finding it to easy to pitch with these sliders since the Pitcher Variability slider doesnt matter, then just up the Pitching Interface slider to 100 and get ready for a challenge. Once again Gallandro and Joe, great sliders

Re: BIGFNJOE & GALLANDRO'S MLB 2K5 Pure Realism Sliders

K-Zone seems to be a popular topic. I wouldn't think there would be a major differece If you use K-Zone with the sliders. Many people have said they work great. I think it's more about preference & what makes people comfortable. The reason we suggest Effort, Meter or Classic becuase the Variability Slider is applicable to these Pitching Interfacers & not K-Zone. But like Dan suggested if you want a challenge raise the Pitcher Interface to 100. Glad everyone is enjoying the sliders.

                              On a franchise note:

The RedSox showed-up @ the stadium with a chip on there shoulder & it showed. Sox scored all their runs via the longball in a 6-3 victory over the Evil Empire. A familiar face(David Wells) was stellar. Giving up 3 runs in 7 1/3 innings. His counterpart Moose Mussina looked as if he was still in Spring Training. Giving up 6 runs in 6 innings. The Yanks made the game real interesting in the 9th, getting their 1st baserunners on with the "Power" of the bomber line-up coming up. A-ROD just missed tying the game up with a long bomb that just went foul. Foulke then got A-ROD to hit into a force play. Sheffield then came to the plate. 2 HR in the game already, but Foulke got Sheff to hit into a 6-4-3 double play. Preserving the Red-Sox win. After the game Boomer Wells was asked about pitching @ Yankee Stadium sporting the "B" on his hat.

"Never thought this would come about. It's always a joy pitching here. The fans weren't happy though" Wells said with a smile.

The rubber game has Matt Clement V Carl Pavano.
