I have only bought stores and concessions to go along with the first stadium upgrade. Thanks.Comment

Re: Owner Mode Tips
Alright, here's my situation. I'm the Detroit Tigers, recreated through a fantasy draft that sees me ranked # 1 in team rankings. I've got great young talent and my team is 8 games over .500 at the break. BUT...I'm 5 mil in the hole!!! My attendance is above average, around 11,000 usually. I bought different promotional days for every month up front, I have soda, ice cream, and pizza as well as two great stores that sells cards, pennants, and the lettered jerseys. But again, I'm losing money and slated to be 10 mil in the hole by years end.
What can I do?!?! I really like the team I drafted and playing at Tiger Stadium is real fun. All I want to do is have some money on hand so that I can add more seats, but I'm always in the red after my first big road trip. Do I have to make a deep playoff run to see some money? What if I end in the red, will I be unable to resign my young talent that require a pay raise? I've experimented with ticket prices and damnit I have a business degree in marketing....so I feel awful stupid! Feel free virtual GMs...help!
Also, my player salaries are very reasonable since my team is very young. I have two guys over 10 mil, Adrian Beltre and Andruw Jones. But like I said, guys like Morneau, Zito, AJ Burnett and Oliver Perez will require more money next year. I'll gladly take the 5 year plan so long as I know it'll work out! Great thread btw guys.Comment

Re: Owner Mode Tips
I just simmed my way up to August and my team has broke even! Winning really heals all in this game, as I'm heading up the central division. Just brought in 18,528 the other night with some pretty high prices vs. a rival. I really thought I had the right approach, and now it's beginning to work out. If only I can expand my seating before the playoffs....advice still welcome!Comment

Save you're money and but the 4 Mil upgrade before the playoffs. If you can't, wait till the you have the money during the 1st divsion series. From there I would sav more money and hopefully you will advance far enough into the playoffs to also buy your 10 Mil upgrade for seats...

In September following a homestand of important games, I generated a profit of over 5 mil. These immediately went to adding seats and buying the high priced concession stand after that. My ticket prices have always been as high as I could get them, usually upping them for 7/10 and up games. As the pennant race came to a close, I was breaking 20,000 people/game and feel like I have a great concept going...based on winning really! Fan satisfaction is 1 and 1/2 away from maxing out and my team's built for the future, so this should be a blast.
I'm 1 game deep in the playoffs with homefield secured, so more money is on the way. I'll be keeping my eyes on the next seat upgrade if I can get it in this playoff run. Haven't seen an offseason in owner mode yet either, so I'm sure I'll be asking for more tips when that comes around...hopefully with a title.Comment
