Well that's not possible, my situation can be. You know, since Bonds isnt liked around the media, it's not unlikely that there are people who want to bring him down.

or the other great what if?

What if he actually knew what he was doing and brought himself down? Hmm the possibilities...Its always someone else's fault. The media, the trainer. What if it was his OWN fault?

can see it now.. 4th AB of the season, he hits a foul ball off his knee. Being weakened by the "juice", it is a disabling injury & he will be forced to retire earlier.....

"If I can play [in 2007], I'm going to play; if I can't I won't," Bonds told MLB.com in a telephone interview Sunday. "If my knee holds up, I'll keep on going. I'm playing psychological games with myself right now. I don't want to set myself up for disappointment if things don't work out this season. So I go back and forth. Back and forth every day. These are the things that are going through my mind. This is what I'm struggling with."

I'm not saying it's not his fault. Just before you guys start jumping on the guy (I guess 10 years too late), or any guy, you have to look at ALL the possiblities.

I don't see it. He's just trying to get attention at this point by flip flopping.

His body is too detoriated from the 'roids to play. I'd be surprised if he makes it through much of this season without going on the DL.

Bonds' contract is up after this year. He'll go to the AL in '07 and DH to break Aaron's mark.

My opinion as well. Although I really just wish he would leave baseball forever.

I don't know why I see these posts as funny, but rather aggravating to see it come from everybody's mou... username. I think it's because I see your intent in the posts as being exaggeratedly serious. I think we all pretty much know that whatever steroid is taken or used pretty much has a 6-month cycle before it wears or deteriorates.

If the 2003 "cream" and "clear" is true (and are the only two substances he used [knowingly or not]), then he's been off of it for quite some time now. I don't know how many people here believe that in his last 14 games this previous year he was using steroids. I have quite a hard time believing it... it's certainly not the risk for him.

Besides, I don't know if I should always reiterate this, but if people truly believe that steroids made Bonds what he is today, what happened to Jeremy Giambi along the way? What happened to (supposedly) Alex Sanchez? Is it because Bonds already had so much mass that extra mass made him a juggernaut? I don't know the answer, so I'm asking you.

Question for everyone: Would you mind if he was still in baseball as long as he doesn't break Aaron's record? It seems to me that most people here just don't want a "cheater to hold the record".
