    Research takes time.

But they have evidence and testimony of things he's done between 1998 and 2003, or whatever it was. I guess that type of info just takes a long time to come out, for some reason. Hmm.

The legal ramifications involved with presenting these kinds of accusations have to be thouroughly researched so the authors don't get sued for slander and liable. This isn't some crackpot theory they just fabricated, the evidence has to be 100% accurate before putting it out for public consumption.

Well, as the article stated, a lot of the material used in the book remained sealed for a good amount of time. Just because there is evidence of stuff he did eight years ago doesn't mean that it has always been readily available.

I still dont think we should take this book to be the "proof", maybe it's just naivety (sp?) on my part, but we have to check it out fully. Anyone can say something and it can gather steam even if it's not entirely true.

How can this book not be proof? The brunt of the material comes from court evidence and grand jury testimony. That is about as concrete as you can get.

You're right, I'm just thinking about the other possibilities. You know, after watching 24 for so long, you start to think about everyone's true motives and about all the possible (even if they seem impossible) angles, heh.

                  It's definitely intriguing, though.

There has been this denial for so long that Bonds has not taken steroids, but people just forget that he admitted taking them in his GRAND JURY TESTIMONY. That information has been available for quite some time.

I would imagine with a lot of the documents now being unsealed, with the proper credentials it wouldn't be hard to acquire them.

Barry will not live past 55.

He'll go the way of the eastern European bodybuilders of the 70s.

At this point, it's pretty obvious he heavily used steroids but it's not like he killed anyone or raped and pillaged a village of children. He's a douchewazzle, but wanting him to be 'burned at the stake' is a bit much. What is this, ancient Mayan culture in the 1500's?

You're missing the point here... Would he even burn? What's the flamability of that great of an abundance of steroids?

See, I don't think we should burn him for being a steroid user and a cheat, we should instead burn him just because it would be a bitchin' science experiment.
