If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -
Re: Soriano Refuses To Play Outfield
I don't understand why he's so against this. He did the same thing in Texas, and they didn't challenge him.
It's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can't play second base. You'd think he'd like to take a shot at a position that maybe, just maybe, he CAN play.
For every run he scores, he gives up two in the field. Worst everyday second baseman of all-time.Comment

Plus he's a baby.
As much as I despise A-Rod, I'm glad we don't have Soriano anymore.
But yeah having the best player in the game on your team just sucks.Comment

In College I was asked to switch positions in Lacrosse, and did so with little hesitation, it was what was best for my potential playing time and the team.
Similarly, one of my best friends played CFB. He was asked to switch from WR to DB and refused, he also refused to be a Return Specialist. Little wonder he was burried on the depth chart for 4 years now isn't it?Comment

Re: Soriano Refuses To Play Outfield
The problem is, as one poster stated, he stinks at second base..the only person not to see it is him. i have to agree with the Nats on this one and if he doesnt play put him on the DQ list. he will learn when he is not collecting a paycheck and losing service time meaning no free agency. According to a report on mlb.com the Rangers wouldn't let the Nats talk to Soriano or something like that so i guess they thought they could convince him.
heres the link to that story:

Re: Soriano Refuses To Play Outfield
To clarify I was talking about Manny. I didn't say he has refused to take the field or doesn't work with the team sometimes...but you have to agree he is very distracting with his antics and his 'Manny just being Manny' BS. There's different ways to be team cancers....and most of them end up being traded for just that reason:
- Ron Artest
- Keyshawn Johnson
- Terrell Owens
- Alfonso Soriano
- Alex Rodriguez (many will probably disagree with this one but I think he was for the Rangers...he isn't in NY)
I predict Manny will be on that list one day too.
Maybe instead of calling it a team cancer it might be better to call these guys as players who break the teams chemistry. I think team chemistry proved a lot with the Red Sox a few years ago...I don't think a team can win any championships without solid team chemistry...having guys like those in your clubhouse makes that tough.
RSox: Great posts in this thread!!!
Shakedowncapo: Standing up for what he believes in? Standing up for what you believe in is something ethical, moral, etc. in most cases. I don't see how being unwilling to be flexible is standing up for what you believe in. If your boss at your job tells you that your job is changing and it's not what you really want to be doing what would you do? Unless you have the luxury of being able to quit your job at will more than likely you'll stick with it and try to make it work for as long as you can...he's not even giving it a chance.
Sorry for the long post...Comment

Originally posted by BGarrett7I don't see anywhere near where he said it sucked that A-Rod was on the team, simply that he did not like the guy. So, what, now you have to love all 25 men on the roster just to be a fan of a team? Over there years there have been an endless amount of Braves that I have had a deep unliking for -- Sheffield, Lofton, Kolb, just to name a few -- but does that mean that I simply can't root for the team just because I happen to not like the players in question? That logic is horrible, I don't care how good the player may be.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Originally posted by elicolemanI agree, even though Tanyon Sturtze is a Yankee, I can't stand the guy. Frankly, I don't even think he should be allowed to own a baseball glove.
Anyways the only reaosn I could consider legit for Soriano refusing to move at this point would be that he had traumatic, life altering experiences in left field as a child back in the DR and he wants to avoid them. Other than that... hes being a jackass.

Re: Soriano Refuses To Play Outfield
They never should of traded for a 2b like him when they already have a good 2b...........why not trade for a position that you actually need ?My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx
