I think basically it's because the guy can't pitch worth a damn, even back as a Devil Ray. He's been given too many chances.

Even if he shot my cat, I bet my dead cat could pitch better than him.

Really the only Yankees I hate are the ones that don't perform. If your putting up #'s that's good enough for me as a fan. Unless of course if your destroying the clubhouse, but even a guy like Sheff isn't there and he can flat out mash.

But there is hope... I stole the Emanski video joke from Dan Patrick today. So, technically, it's not actually my miss.

Bowden is an idiot. His two big off season moves were to trade for Lawrence, who is hurt, but with the Nats, because the Nationals were too cheap/lazy to get an MRI on him before the trade went through and trade for Soriano. So they essentially gave away Castilla (not that he had that much value anyways. but given away nontheless) and gave away Wilkerson (a productive hitter), Sledge (a decent reserve OF) and one of their better pitching prospects for Soriano.

What makes it especially idiotic on Bowden's part is that Soriano had been asked to move before and had indicated that he wouldnt do so. There was not any reason to assume he would change his mind especially in his contract year and especially for a new club. Was Bowden's plan just to force Soriano's hand and try and force him in to the outfield? Because that's an even worse idea.

I may be biased because I'm a Nats fan, but I honestly think Bowden is the worst GM in baseball (at least in their current tenure); almost every move has made has been bad. I guess it justs serves as a warning for teams to not sign their GMs off of Cold Pizza....

Yeah I don't get that or why they didn't talk to him beforehand about changing positions.

Geez, let's see....ten million a year.....hmmmm, not bad. I go out and "play". I do something most fans dream of. My boss wants me to play the OF......ten million a year.....hmmmm.

I hope he gets canned/put on ineligible or whatever. As Ted Lietner once said of him, "There's not enough mustard in New York to cover this hotdog".

                    Rotoworld:

Alfonso Soriano said he had no knowledge that he was supposed to start in left field on Monday. He hasn't decided whether or not he'll play Wednesday.
Two baseball sources told MLB.com that bench coach Eddie Rodriguez wrote two lineups on Monday. Amazingly enough, the one without Soriano's name in the lineup was on the clubhouse bulletin board for most of the afternoon. If possible, the Nationals are handling this whole situation worse than Soriano. It should become clear tomorrow whether or not Soriano will be placed on the restricted list. "I'm going to think about (playing left field). I'm going to talk it over with his wife and agent, [Diego Bentz]," Soriano said. "I want to play, but they have [Jose] Vidro at second base. I will make a decision [on Wednesday morning]

I don't believe Soriano for a second. He's just trying to save himself from looking like an idiot.

Sounds to me as if he's going to cave in and play the outfield.

He keeps this up and he will be traded. Nats will end up getting screwed if they don't haggle, but still justify making the trade. I really do wonder if Sori will go back to playing LF again..remember he was moved from the OF to 2B, and now is forced to move back. If he does actually move(nope), I personally think he will hold his own out there. He does have all the tools needed to succeed.

He was in the outfield? I thought he came up as a shortstop.

Does Soraino have any kind of sub-clause in his contract saying he will only play 2nd if he gets traded type thing???
