Pedro- 9-4, 0.99 WHIP, .198 OPP BA
Roy- 14-3, 1.12 WHIP, .260 OPP BA
The only big difference is wins and losses. Halladay is great, Pedro is great. Say what you want about the NL being a weaker league but the NL East is loaded with teams with offensive talent (Braves, Phillies, Marlins are no slouches).

Re: To all Mets Haters................
Pedro isn't what he once was but he's still a darn good pitcher. I've also enjoyed watching Glavine pitch this year. Yeah I know he's up there in age now but he's a very crafty pitcher who uses smarts to get by the opposing teams.
I think it's actually more fun to watch a pitcher use his repetoire and win with guile more then just blowing guys away with a heater or whatnot.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Halladay is one of my favorite pitchers- he's always one of my first picks in ALL of my fantasy leagues
Glavine, I'm not sure of. He had a great first half but hasn't showed much since then. His last two starts have been much better.

Last year the Bears players bitched about not getting respect too. THen Carolina came to town......
The Mets SHOULD be good. My god look at their payroll and the moves they've made.
But at the end of the day, the ALCS is the World Series this year. Whoever makes it out of the NL is nothing more than a sacrificial lamb for the AL teams coronation.PSN: JISTIC_OS

LOVE IT...when people say crap like this. Makes it that much sweeter when it doesn't happen.
I'm still getting happier and happier as the Mets bury the Braves deeper and deeper in the division. Braves fans were posting the old laughing emoticons at the mention of the Mets winning the division. Then they said the Mets would succumb to the pressure 1/3 into the season. That's working out well for them isn't it? Time to start reviving some of the older posts about the impending doom of the Mets and getting in a few good chuckles

It'd be nice to have a David Ortiz/Jason Giambi/ in the NL East lineups instead of Steve Trachsel!
Mets have driven in 587 runs this year- the Yankees have 602 and the Red Sox have 608.
Even the most pathetic DH would easily drive in 15 (or 21) runs to make up that gap. It'd be foolish to write off the NL East offenses because of a paltry run difference like that.Last edited by Spectre; 08-13-2006, 12:24 PM.
