And Blzer, while I don't agree with you're point of view on steroids, at least I understand where you're coming from now.
Exactly- Barry Bonds is a fantastic hitter but, without a plethora of steroids, would likely not have been able to maintain this type of production into his 40s. He'd be a notch below the Ted Williams/Joe D's of the world but still a sure-fire Hall of Famer in my book.

Julio Franco has the workout regiment of a 20 year old and his swing has been slow as heck for the last 10 years! He pulls a ball once in a blue moon.

He is not, and he should not be any more targeted than anybody else. The record is at stake, big deal. Live with it. Records are meant to be broken.
I do agree with that and I wish the Hall of Fame voters realize that they've most likely put other steroid users in the Hall of Fame so Bonds, or for that matter anybody from this generation who deserves it, should go in the Hall.

Funny, so he is guilty beacuse of the public wow that is scary, but OK. lol

I guess I can finally use some of the medical knowledge I've been gathering- in adulthood, excessive HGH results in new periosteal bone growth and growth of hands and feet. You can't make this stuff up.

Steroids are IMHO the main reason Barry has been able to maintain his production as he enters his 40s.
Excellent. That IS one big skull he has there.

Agreed. Works for me. And I don't excuse one man's bad behavior by pointing out another man's bad behavior.

Actually, I tend to consider his skull small. I mean, I understand that that is a large growth, but I wear a 7 3/8 cap. I'm next to a shaved head right now, and that cap fits firm on me. It just seems strange that mine is bigger than his and people say his head is the size of a bowling ball.

Guilty because of the public? No, he's guilty because he took steroids.

Ah, it all makes sense now. Most people's bodies stop growing once they're into their 20s. But Barroid's head was always abnormally small, so his body compensated for this, at age 40, by puffing up his head to normal size.

The explanation is so simple, I almost feel stupid....

Still haven't read the article, but I'm guessing they didn't answer this question anyway: Is Aaron not attending the event because he doesn't want his record passed, or because he "doesn't want his record passed by a steroid user and abuser"? I mean, is it implicitly known to the public that Aaron suspects Bonds of steroids?

I disagree with that Bonds was built like his daddy Strong and lean, so I he might have been able to play and played good! Steroids don't make you play longer it make you stronger. Wow play longer take steroid. lol The steroids I know cause you to have more injuries, not keep you from them. Maybe this is the new almighty steroids!

I say cheating is bad, but still a lot of players did it, so to go after Bonds is wrong, but if he wasn't breaking a record then it would be OK? lol
