How is it a "pseudo" factor?

You bring up a point that pitchers use steroids as a recovery agent but discount the fact that could also apply to hitters? Position players play every day while starters only play every five days. Who needs to recover quicker (especially as they get older)?

No one is denying that Bonds was a likely Hall of Fame player prior to '99 (when his steroid use is alleged to begin). What is troubling is that the guy has averaged over 40 HRs per season since '99 (that's including him missing nearly all of 2005).

I meant those BS reasons about the park and watered-down pitching were psuedo-factors.

However, my "more pitchers have been caught with steroids" comment is an actual comment.

Other than that, I really have nothing else to say. I'm sick of hearing about steroids and this damn record. I'm a Braves fan, too. Imagine that.

The funny thing is, Mays should have been the leader, playing at CandleStick took away about 120 HR. That is a brutal park. It would have been interesting to see how people would have reacted to if he was breaking May's as the all time HR king!

Ages 24, 25, and 26 lost to WWII
Ages 33 and 35 (90%) lost to the Korean War

Give Williams his 37 HR/year average for those five seasons and he'd be at about 705+. Also add in the fact that Fenway Park is notoriously tough for left-handed home runs.

Williams was an absolute beast.

I have kinda learned to accept Bonds as the HR King and it really doesnt bother me anymore. I also have a very wishy-washy opinion on Bonds. First I know he cheated but I also feel like the media has abused him over the years. Yet, he deserved a lot of it. So I really do not know what I think of Bonds.

Anyway Bonds is a smart man and new what he was doing. So I will post this question for you Matrix: Why would Bonds take steriods if he did not feel like he was getting an advantage?

Also the point Blzer brings up about push is the key to this steriod thing. I saw an article about the speed of someones bat after they made contact with the ball and it showed the best of all-time as well as some other players. But it basically said the point Blzer was tryin to get across. It was a great articl I need to find it.

The problem is, he already had all of that, and still had great stats each year.

And, Bonds may be an *** to the media, but can you blame him? I'd be a jerk to the media too, if they did to me what they do to everyone else.

Bill Parcells and Bob Knight are *******s to the media as well, but I don't hear half of the crap I hear about Bonds' relationship with the media regarding those guys.

If he's such a great guy why did his teammates at ASU vote to have him kicked off the team? You know how they say money makes you a bigger what ever you are? Merriman screwed up and did something very stupid and I'll always look at him different.
