I'm a Giants fan first and a Bonds fan second, but I don't defend Bonds because he plays for the Giants. If he is ever traded to the Yankees, Cubs, or A's (my three least favorite teams), I will cheer for him and do what I do to defend him no matter what. I don't want to be thought up as a "Giants fan" when I'm defending him... just think of me as a "Bonds fan", if that's at all possible.

If you're worried about HGH being the biggest factor in Bonds' performance, then please worry for two-thirds of the entire league as well. Bonds wouldn't ever be the only person using illegal drugs that the MLB doesn't test for. I'm sure today's top pitchers wouldn't be where they are without these kinds of drugs, and I'm sure that Prior and Gagne probably put off some supplements that they were using during hardcore testing, and can't overperform like they used to, and are now getting hurt because of it. Unfortunately, same things are probably happening to guys like Edmonds, Durazo, Beltre, Drew, and Sexson as well.

And now we have the ever popular, "Everyone else is doing it" argument. You know what, you sold me. If everyone else is doing it, then it's okay.

How much stronger can they make it? Thay already test for every known steroid and many other things. There just isn't a test for HGH, period.

Didn't say that it was okay, but why do you choose to single out Bonds? Nothing is evident that he did anything... nothing factual, at least.

Sure, but there is truth that. If they are taking it why not you. It will make you a super star and make millions. I hear what people say about having morals and all, but you are telling me you wouldn't take steroids if it was going to make you millions? Man that is tough, I would like to say I wont, but millions I don't know.

Thats the sad part, the newest thing coming out now from the Mets guy, he says he would hear players saying that they would sacrifice years off their life to make sure their families were set in the future.

When I played football in high school and college I played with guys that we all knew were on one thing or another in order to gain an "advantage", yet I resisted the urge, actually it wasn't even an urge, becasue I thought it was just laughable. Interestingly enough, I was a far better player than any of them without using artificial means.

Thats the sad part, the newest thing coming out now from the Mets guy, he says he would hear players saying that they would sacrifice years off their life to make sure their families were set in the future.

It's not sad it's pathetic. I'm sure that if you asked Junior if he wanted Daddy to live until he was 80 or be rich and have Daddy die at 50, I bet I could guess what Junior's asnswer would be.

Sure you can say that, but what if you took them you would go pro? I don't know. I hear what you are saying, but that is a lot of money. Sure we can say it now, because it is fantasy. So you didn't take them, did you go pro? Ever think if you did, maybe you would have?

Problem is he can't hit. Hey answer this? If Steroids prolong a career, what happen to the players that did steroids, like Mac, Gonzalez and some others. If it prolongs their career where are they now.

True, but still it is tough to me! I had to take steroids before, when I blew my knee out they gave me a steriods to help heal. My legs got ripped. lol
