I know this sounds a bit confrontational with just text so let me say that it's not. I'm just not really following where you were going. Yes it's illegal... yes, so is speeding. My point was that both are illegal but the punishment for both (talking about steroids at the time) wasn't anywhere near harsh enough to be a deterrent. I'm not sure what you're saying to dispute that.
It might have been just a misunderstanding in how we read each other is all. Just as you said, hard to understand some emotional and meaning conveyed in text.

I think we now both agree.

This whole thing (Bonds trial), is now a soap opera.

Yeah probably true... and definitely true on the soap opera but that shouldn't be a surprise. They never really had anything and decided to just throw some bad press out there. The Clemens trial should have more meat (Bonds = *** but Clemens = idiot... no idea why he didn't just fess up).

Yeah, the Clemens trial is going to be a contentious affair. He's about as stubborn an idiot as you could ever imagine.

The fact that the Bonds trial has a verdict is going to make the last hour of work completely unproductive.

I was wondering why ESPN hadn't picked up on it.

Sounds like a win for Bonds.

So he will more than likely get a light sentence of 3 years probation, and the prosecution will probably agree to drop the other 3 charges if Bonds agrees not to appeal his sentence.

Actually from a legal expert i'm hearing that Bonds will get a minimum of 15-21 months in jail and the prosecution can re-try Bonds on the perjury charges if they so choose.

He can appeal this sentence, so they will probably plea with him more than likely and it is only a first time offense for Obstruction, so usually it is "light".

                          We will see though.

I don't think that bonds will receive any thing else but a slap on the wrist ( A fine) He wasn't convicted of perjury.

Thats kind of what i'm thinking. I was hoping they would find him guilty on all accounts. Clemens might be feeling a little better about his coming up because if you can not find Bonds 100% guilty on all accounts then you really can't find Clemens at fault either.

Not really. This all stems from BALCO. Clemens will be tried for lying to congress. There will be a whole different prosecutor handling this. From what I've read the Bonds case prosecution dropped the ball numerous times.
