I don't understand how fans of a team that hasn't done anything in about 100 years can be so cocky/ignorant.

As I said in the post above, there is no way the Marlins can beat Wood and Prior in consecutive games. If they do so, I will mock the Cubs, Dusty Baker, Carlos Zambrano, Jim Hendry, and many others for the rest of my life. Oh, and I will never be a nice person ever again.

So basically, it's do or die.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Are you in love with Prior and Woods you better think about this:

Can Prior or Woods beat Pierre, Pudge, Lowell [is back] Cabrera, Conine and an entire team with the biggest heart and balls on the majors? ummmmmm I'm looking forward to see a post from you tomorrow after the game.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

How do you know how big their balls are? On second thought I don't want to know.

So I guess Cub fans should hold their head down, we have a 3-2 league going to an energized Wrigley Field... Prior up on the mound next for the Cubs.

The Cubs ran into a pitcher who pitched a hell of a ball game. No way am I going to go run and hide in a corner and expect that the Cubs will blow it.. I don't see it, not with this group of players!

      Go Cubs!

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

No, you can be confident you'll win. But to say they are already in the World Series, well, you better hope your right, and you'll have to take a lot of crap next week.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Yeah, but if they don't make it, I will be living hell on Earth, so a bit of mocking from some baseball forum members will mean little in the big picture.

If the Cubs lose the next two games, I will writing up an editorial stating my opinion towards Dusty Baker, Jim Hendry, and several of the people in the Cubs organization. Let's just say this, my fellow Cub fans on this board will not like me much if the Cubs force me to write that editorial.

I for one, would be very interested in your comments. I hope I never see them of course , but I don't see how a Cub fan can complain about Hendry, Baker, or even the team as a whole for what they have accomplished this year.

This team had 60-something wins last year. We are one win away from the World Series!! I mean, let's face it ... normally this time of year we are either rooting for teams that we wouldn't ordinarily root for, or we have abandoned baseball altogether. This is great stuff!!

I'll be just as upset as the next Cub fan if we blow this opportunity. But when the dust settles, I'll look back on this year, and all I'll be able to say is "Great Job, Cubs!!"

Hopefully I'll be able to attach "World Champions" in there somewhere, but there is much baseball to play yet.
