Apparently the Orioles are close to signing Korean reliever Chong Tae-Hyon to a 2 year deal.

Just saw on MLBTradeRumors that the Rangers are likely to sign P Joe Nathan, which means Feliz to the Rotation.

          Edit: it's official, 2 years, 7 million.

Hmm, that's a gamble. I know they've been saying Feliz will go to the rotation for awhile anyway, but Nathan could go either way. He buckled down in the 2nd half (unless I'm thinking of someone else), and year two after TJ is supposed to be the "back to full strength" year. But still, I don't know if I'd be counting on him. If he starts the season slow, what's the plan? Go back to Feliz? Convert Ogando? I don't know if they have young arms in the pen ready to take a crack at it.

We could always use Mike Adams to close. We also have a 3B converted RP named Matt West who has two plus pitches and is a Top 10 prospect in the program.

Nathan was 11 for 11 in saves after the all star break, but still had an ERA in the high 3's.

I see the dollars are being thrown around like paper again this offseason. A guy like Nathan after having a shaky season after TJ surgery shouldn't be claiming 7+ mil a year and at that age as a closer?

Well it's a bit dicey IMO.

I saw that last night. I have a feeling that's going to be a very underrated signing. He should do well with the Twinkies.

Hitting .200 would be an upgrade over Drew Butera

According to the Twins Doumit is going to be seeing time at C/1B/RF/LF/DH but i have a feeling he may see more time behind the plate than anywhere else because as much as the say Joe Mauer is their Catcher i think he is going to slowly be removed from Catching and play a different position.

Another interesting note on the Twins front is with the Phillies acquiring Ty Wigginton they may not be willing to bid as high for Michael Cuddyer as they may originally have. According to Ken Rosenthal the Phillies are looking for a left handed bat off the bench to play that can play the OF so Cuddyer returning to the Twins could look a little more possible.

And the thing is, he settled for a lesser deal to play for Texas. It's just ridiculous that this is the market for relievers now.
