    if the twins were smart they wouldn't sign him.
    they have lecroy and if you give him at bats he can produce

      Burks played for Cleveland last season but was injured early in the first half so they released him.

            If Burks is healthy he could provide some power, but honestly i don't think his numbers would be any different than the numbers Matt LeCroy could put up,
            but, of the 3 teams mentioned the Twins make the most sense, they have a spot for him as a DH, the Red Sox can't offer that, and with the Dodgers he would have to play the field, something i'm not sure he can do anymore.

                        If the Twins are going to spend any more money, it should be on a starting pitcher, IMO. As far as our offense goes, we're getting all our starters back except for AJ.

                              Signing Ellis Burks makes no sense. He's a DH only, and an aged, oft-injured one at that. Doing this would tell Lecroy that you're not confident in him, without ever giving him a chance. I doubt this will happen, as any money the Twins are able to free up would go towards pitching. I think our offense and defense are set, and the pitching staff and how it shakes out is the only remaining question mark.
