Not close to final, but postseason plan at “controlled sites” being discussed, per sources: AL in southern California, NL in Texas. World Series possibly at Rangers’ new ballpark. League talking with union about possibilities. Final plan would be subject to ownership approval.

Three stadiums available in southern California, Arlington and Houston in Texas. Again: Nothing close to final. Other regions not out of question. But this is a plan being discussed. https://t.co/fp6S24S5Op

Seems ridiculous. He played well last year. I'm sure his bat will come around. They've barely played any games.

Wonder how much pressure, if any, MLB players feels to follow the NBA players. I don't think anything major will happen, they will tip their hats at the NBA and go one playing. And that will be that.

Boston Red Sox players have strongly considered not playing tonight's game against the Toronto Blue Jays to protest against social injustice, sources tell ESPN. The teams are talking currently and have offered one another support regardless of whether they decide to play or not.

I almost forgot we were about to have a doubleheader of sorts.

Toronto vs Boston in NBA and MLB.

I wonder if the teams would do so given how Raptors/Celtics were planning for today being the day they boycotted.

To their credit, the protest was effective on my end. I wasn't even aware of what had happened in Kenosha until my local team decided to postpone.

Having each MLB series do this for at least one game will probably reach out to a lot more people who somehow virtually shelter themselves like I have the past while.

Rob Manfred is just a ****ing idiot, but we already knew that.

EDIT: Seems it was Jeff Wilpon's idea and not Rob Manfred's. I stand by calling Mr. Manfred an idiot, but it seems he wasn't to blame for this particular bad idea.

                              I believe the first story.

                              This is just damage control.

                              Wilpons selling the team anyway.

                                This Mets story is hilarious.

First the GM blasts the commissioner then the Wilpon's lol.
