Yep, those were the hideous Turn Forward the Clock unis from the summer of '99. Totally gross.

Cubs send Wellington Castillo to the Mariners for Yoervis Medina.

Cubs take care of the catching issue on their roster, and pick up some much needed bullpen help. Median reports to AAA, however. I would imagine he'll be up soon.

ESPN just doesnt seem to give the Astros alot of credit. All of there Baseball Tonight Commitee seems to think they cant keep up the pace there on. I guess its still to early to tell and they have been beating on the West mostly but I think the maturity of this team is peaking quicker then some would have thought. Its very exciting to see the younger guys start to blossum. I think a majority of the credit needs to go to there Bullpen and the starting pitching.

It's mainly because we've seen teams jump up and make a ton of noise than fade as the summer months heat up. I remember last season a LOT of people expected the Royals to fade out but they never did. Hopefully this can be another run like the Royals of last season.

Please I have seen a local radio host in Boston not get behind the Red Sox when they won a WS. He wasn't on board that they were WS contenders until the playoffs started. It happens all the time in sports.

That guy must be the most hated radio host in all of Boston.

The only reputable person in ESPN's MLB staff I care to listen to is Kurkjan; the rest are fluff.

                      Statement 2
MLB Tonight is much better and more entertaining than Baseball Tonight. I haven't watched ESPN's broadcast since MLBTN came out (there's a reason they've won a several Emmy's)

                      Statement 3
Once you begin watching MLBTN, you will grow to love Greg Amsinger, disregard Harold Reynolds, have a secret crush on Lauren Shehadi and moderately enjoy (maybe entertainingly tolerate?) the shtick of Brian Kenny as the setting they use him fits him.

When a team has a decade the Astros just had, it's hard to take a hot start seriously.

I love Greg Amsinger though sometimes I think he goes out of his way to provoke verbal duels with Harold Reynolds to the point that it becomes a bit contrived but otherwise he's great. I miss Mark DeRosa on MLB Tonight though Dan Plesac and Al Leiter make up for it.

Surprisingly he isn't...his partner might be though. It was Tony Massaroti of the Felger and Mazz radio show that wasn't on the Red Sox bandwagon. And this show is the top rated radio show in New England.

very true. I always shuttered with them in the AL West because of the Angels, Oaklands consistant threat, and the mariners . Its a long season but Im hoping the losing days are moving on. Besides, we get over 500 by seaons end and thats a win
