Yeah, and even as a person who isn't really a baseball fan I can't see throwing away the Athletics branding. Add some vegas flair to it on merch and it'll be fine, then see how things evolve from there.

          Las Vegas A's-es.

          LAS VEGA'S.

At this point I'm just reaching.

I think there is also a Las Vegas Gamblers team out there. Forget which sport or league it is, but I made their logo for my Backbreaker team back when that first came out.

That’s wild, I lived in Vegas until 2010 and there was next to nothing in terms of pro sports. The NBA all star game is the only thing I remember happening while I lived there

Either way, next up, the Rays. Move them or else!
They gotta speed up the process and start construction now or soon. If they want to meet that date.

Their goal is to be started by January. Still have some minor hurdles to get over.

Are they going with Vegas or Las Vegas? NHL’s Golden Knights go for just Vegas, Raiders bring in the full city name.

Gotta keep most of the A’s branding and colors intact. I never realized how much I liked it until the threat of it going away came along.
                      NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
                      NFL - Buffalo Bills
                      MLB - Cincinnati Reds

I wonder if they'll make them the Vegas As, but the A stands for Aviators? Their alternate instead of the elephant is the Aviators part of the A's?

Las Vegas Athletics works. Isn't as smooth as Oakland Athletics, but that's over. Have to keep the uniform and color scheme.

Kaval said they've got an agreement to play at the Aviator's ballpark in the interim. Not sure when that starts.

They want to create a pedestrian bridge between them and the TMobile Arena site on the other side of the freeway. That's kind of exciting, because if that opens up parking at a the new property it could create more parking options for TMobile, too. May also get one or two Boring stations as part of the Vegas Loop if that happens.

No intention to re-brand, given the history of the A's. Vegas just the next chapter.

It does sound like they want an Allegiant Stadium-style deal, they're going to contribute the land they've acquired to the project, and are looking to have taxes offset some of the cost. Vegas is in a unique position to make that kind of deal, but I don't expect anything that's a similar scope or scale as Allegiant ever again. I expect a smaller stadium district, taxes on the direct revenue it generates on-site / adjacent, rather than tacking it onto the hotel tax (Allegiant Stadium is paid for easily by a .8% tax on hotel room so locals for the most part don't pay for it).

If that's the case and their goal for the new stadium is 2027, it has to be 2025 or 2026 that they go to the AAA ballpark.

Given what Jays did in Buffalo, I think Vegas could renovate their AAA ballpark starting this offseason and following the 2024 offseason too and really make it suitable for MLB (minus the capacity).

But then, does their AAA team become their affiliate too? Staying in the same city?
