The Expos thing worked out great for me

I do miss some of the old Expos jerseys the pinstripes were awesome. I wish the Nats would try to wear them once in a while. I hate the Cherry Blossom jerseys.

MLB is weighing a proposal that would reduce the pitch clock with runners on base from 20 seconds to 18 next season, sources told ESPN.

I just hope that the Vegas money helps the A's be run like a big market club with deep pockets. If not Fisher should sell them to someone else with deep pockets to spend on Free Agents. No more fire sales.

Are they staying in Oakland for 2024?

Some options (before the move into the big stadium in 2028) could be staying in Oakland for a few more years, playing games at Oracle Park in SF (which would be stupid imo), or play in the Sacramento or Vegas AAA stadium.

Would make sense just going to their AAA ballpark in Vegas, but would they have to spend money on upgrades (such as better lighting, clubhouse or more seats) just for a ballpark they're not gonna use beyond 2027?

And could Oakland work even as an AAA team (since Vegas would need an AAA affiliate)?

Are there still people who are anti pitch clock? That argument has already been decided.

Doesnt sound like this will be the case, they just said on MLBN radio that Vegas is 40th in market size in US.

I'm counting on tourist dollars. Vegas is busy all summer long. I think they could make some decent money with whatever TV deal they manage to get too.

Attendance and merch would definitely put them in a better spot than Oakland.

Even if they have a payroll around 100m and getting 20,000 fans in a "struggling/down year", that's more than double what they were doing in Oakland.
