The Sale story is funny, but I might feel different if the White Sox were "my" team.
He does need to be disciplined though. Fine him for the cost, but when you suspend him for a game,
you're also punishing the team, if Sale is indeed your'e best option to win.

I'm on the opposite end. I think suspensions need to be handed out more often. These guys make so much money. A fine isn't going to stop the next guy.

But a suspension and possible loss would make teammates question your loyalty to the team over yourself.

If Sale was my teammate and we lost because of his behavior, I'd definitely let him know that he's hurting us as a team by putting himself first.

Yep. From what I read, apparently each pitcher for the White Sox gets to pick which jersey the team wears that day, except for today where they were going to wear throwbacks despite Sale's objections because "they're uncomfortable".

So he took a pair of box cutters or knife or whatever it was he used and cut up the throwback jerseys so no one could wear them tonight.

Ok. The point where being upset about that turns into cutting up jerseys an hour before game time is where I think most people would say he went into la la land.

To me, this tirade makes Sale's preseason feuding with Kenny Williams over LaRoche's kid that much funnier.

Oh yea he is definitely cray cray. And these tirades have been hilarious. Also he has been suspended by the team for violating team rules, insubordination and destroying team equipment. He is suspended for 5 days.

Chris Sale is a disrespectful punk. I seen him on All-Star weekend. They paraded him out there as a somewhat face of MLB. He needs to handles his emotions better. I don't like how he went after CWS President of Ops Kenny Williams, take your displeasure behind close doors like a man. Not like a child, if you are a pro.
