Again, not saying he isn't. Just saying it isn't confusing why he won't win it, it's actually pretty clear.

I think Trout should win MVP. He is the undisputed best everyday player in MLB. However, I won't blink an eye at Trout being passed over by MVP voters. The best player doesn't always win the MVP award, this goes for all professional sports leagues. Which is the reason why I never get worked up over these kind of awards. Things get mucked up whenever voters are involved.

According to FanGraphs, the 2016 Reds are the first pitching staff since at least 1900 to finish with a negative WAR, at -0.5.

Trout should by far and away be MVP, but Mookie Betts had a great enough year and his team made the playoffs so I could see them giving him MVP and it would be somewhat understandable.

In somewhat surprising news Dave Stewart and Chip Hale have been fired. I feel like this was a bit of a rash move but seeing that Arizona is not a big market team and they spent a boatload of money only to see it explode in their face someone had to be canned. I just don't think Hale was the one who should've been turfed. At least you can understand the Stewart firing.

This is how feel in regards to the MVP race, obviously as a Trout fan I'll be mad if he doesn't win it but Moo-Moo-Mookie also has had a great year. I just hate the fact the deciding factor could be the performance of their respective teams, it's not Trout's fault that his team sucks.

Oh and there is something wrong when the finalists for the MLBPA player of the year award are Altuve, Mookie and Big Papi.

I also feel like the Angels weren't bad because they're bad so much as that they were bad because of all the injuries they had.

They would have been *much* more competitive if their pitching staff wasn't ****ing systematically annihilated.

I agree with your last point. Altuve has no business there.

Like what are people voting for I always wonder. He is obviously the most valuable player, he leads the other candidates in almost every category. We need Trout in the playoffs, it just doesn't make any sense to me.
Because the BBWAA thinks "MVP" stands for "best player on a playoff team." And giving Trout the award year-after-year is boring and not good for the purpose of filling column spaces, so they have to come up with any reason not to give it to him.
