He was a horse in it's prime, but it's time for him to hang up the saddle.

Speaking of which, what ever happened to Tim Lincecum?

lol, I googled him and the very first result was a news story:

                No one seems to
                know where Tim
                Lincecum
                disappeared to

Interesting article on Lincecum...doesn't surprise me that he's gone dark. I miss having him in the game. I'll be honest, I took him for granted...expected we'd see him dominate for a decade or more. It's a shame he broke down.

I posted that about 5 pages back...definitely an interesting read.

Sad to see Matt Cain call it a career...it feels like it's too early as I remember when he had just come up. Cain always seemed to get the short end of the stick in the run support department. It was fun to watch him pitch...

Last I heard, Lincecum was actually trying to mount yet another comeback. Yes, even after the Angels disaster. Where at? I have no idea, maybe the Himalayas.

Actually I came here to post an opinion question of what you guys think of what is seemingly more "chuminess" being shown between opposing players? Baseball's rivalries seemed to have cooled down in this era it would seem. Saw the Lincecum post and relatedy he was a guy that I think got under opposing players' skin.

Are teams generally too chumy with each other?

I think we need some more people to get beaned in the head to show they're serious about it.

Seriously though, I don't worry about chuminess as long as the teams continue to try to beat each other in the score column. It really is a fraternity of guys that have a lot in common. But, yeah, I will take an occasional beanball war or charging of the mound every now and again, too.

He was definitely a stable arm in that lineup.

                                Spoiler

In other news, I heard a great number on the radio that I have no ability to either recover or rehear, but it was something like Cain had 112 career winless quality starts, and in those starts posting a sub-3.00 ERA (maybe in the 2.60 area?) and a sub-1.00 WHIP, like 0.80 or something.
