The only way Trout doesn't get in is if he murdered somebody and went to jail. Jeez, the man is a 100% lock and should get over 95% of the vote once he retires no matter how badly he may decline.

There will never be a unanimous selection...the BBWAA will see to that.

The only way it will happen is if writers are allowed to vote yes or no on players instead of choosing X number. Because writers if they know a player will get enough votes (ie Griffey, Thome, Chipper, etc.) they will use that last vote or 2 on a player that could be in danger of falling off the ballot (ie Rolen, Walker, Andruw) or to give to another that is relatively close (ie Mussina, Edgar). It's happened with voters already and they have said it directly in their articles or interviews they have done with their ballots.

Looks like Johan Santana didn't get enough votes and dropped off the ballot.

I once went to a Twins game that was Carl Pavano vs. Mark Buehrle where a storm was moving in. Got a 9-inning game done in 1:52. I wish all pitchers worked as fast as those two guys. Was my first and only time sitting in a suite at Target Field. We sat there and watched the thunderstorm for a good hour after the game before heading downtown.

And at this point there shouldn't be one, with more deserving guys through the years not getting it.

Unanimous decision won't be so much about the player himself but rather the voters. We're slowly seeing these old writers phased out and guys basically have to prove their an active member of the media to remain as voters.

Eventually we'll get to the days where the writers are all people who (I hope) are more intelligent and less stubborn.

Turn ahead the clock uniforms are returning in 2018 for a few teams.

Tigers have made a slight change to their uniform in 18 as well.

Glad to see the Royals decided to go understated with their TATC uniform. As for the Tigers, nice to see them go for full uniformity with the old English D.
