Must have been the only 18 year old that watched South park then. I'm blown away anybody is surprised at this stuff.

Everyone I knew said "that's gay" or something along those lines in HS. I sincerely doubt my HS or town was that different from others.

I don't buy the notion that you or others have never said it.

Somebody said something dumb as a teenager. Surprise. Just like the Hader story this is a nothing bomb. 90% of teenagers are immature and says all sorts of dumb stuff.

Next time a young pitcher is on the mound and close to a no hitter, I bet he's thinking "oh lord, what did I post years ago on the tweeters?" Maybe we can get a good young pitcher with a better sense of right and wrong soon. People digging up all these carefully nuanced posts and pics of the guy doing community service.

Lol I'm done. Apparently that @Natsquid was trying to cover up a Nats players tweets. But was giddy about unleashing on Newcomb. Hypocrites man. Anyway I'm through with this. I'm pretty damn sure most athletes have said something offensive at some point and time. Nothing to see here.

            Just all negativity.

They don't care what words people use or who used them, that's just a reason.

They're just addicted to the power they have now. Which gets further cemented and hardened any time one of these "scandals" gets manufactured.

Switching gears a bit, something made me think about this the other day, does anyone know why no one talks about how high Dave Henderson jumped after he hit the home run in the 1989 ALCS? I think there is a video floating around somewhere.

I wouldn't have said that stuff when I was 18 either. But holding everyone accountable for stuff they said on social media at that age is silly and unnecessary. It is irrelevant to life in 2018.

This made me laugh way more than it should.

The sad thing is when the thread was posted, I went back to rewatch the video and the jump was nothing special at all. I don't know what I was expecting.

                            Sir, that was 1986.

1989 was the year before Barry Bonds won National League MVP with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Man there's something else about Barry Bonds and the Pirates in the near future but it's escaping me....

You must be thinking of when the two former teams that Barry Bonds played for (Pirates and Giants) meet up in 2 weeks. Just a casual regular season series, I believe.
