I saw that clip last night on MLB Tonight. Shocked me when I heard how much better his English has gotten.

Who are these people calling him the greatest of all time????

Also Mookie got 20 to avoid arbitration this year. Gotta use the more recent examples because those numbers are always going up.

I feel bad because I was on the 'not sure I believe Yu' wagon last season. It's really unfortunate that the Cubs' medical staff was basically unable to accurately diagnose him until long after rumors were swirling about how he was doing this or doing that and the Cubs were pissed...

I really hope he comes back strong this season, and only partly because it would help my team.

Being a full go for Spring Training is a very good start.

And partnering with Sinclair, big yikes. Hope it doesn't end up like the Dodgers deal.

I'd have called it Wrigleyville network but alas Wrigley is a corporate name so I can see how wouldn't fly. Marquee seems so....Generic.

I am guessing that all pro sports teams will have their own networks in the next 10 years or so.
I mean why wouldn't you now with all the streaming services we have?

Soooo....Are the A's going to be the second team (Expos in their last year) that will have to air games online without a radio home?

That's pretty damn sad if you ask me.

I'm partially surprised more aren't doing it. At very least the big markets.

As far behind as the NHL is in some areas compared to most leagues, we've had Leafs TV forever. Network dedicated to 1 team. You get all kinds of team related content. Game in an hour is one of my faves. They often air old school games containing historic moments, some with occasional clips of a former player in the present reflecting back. And new content following the team around. Leafs have a video game tournament and its funny watching guys get all competitive and smack talk teammates.

Stuff like that I could easily see many teams in all leagues do.

The rumors are they tried to buy a station and couldn't come to an agreement. Now the talks are with a free streaming service and a low powered local station in Berkeley.

Personaly, I would love a streaming option outside MLB GameDay but the old dogs definitely need their radio. I think it gets done. There's just not many options outside Entercom, who they just dumped, and Cumulus who are in league with the Giants.

How do they still have a team? Can't even get a radio deal and has a bad stadium. By next cba, mlb needs to once and all settle the Rays and As situation. No more waiting game.

My guess is it's expensive to run a network and if you're the A's you probably have a tough time selling advertising for a 24 hour cycle.

The A's would probably do better to jump in with another team. They need a partner with more clout or success to drive the advertising dollars.
