I always loved that shot, but then would look at a shot inside the park and think "a lot is missing."

Like, places for people to actually sit? Anything behind the right field fence? What happens if there is any wind at all coming off the ocean?

Yeah it never remotely resembled an actual plausible stadium, but it's absolutely beautiful as a concept, particularly right on the ocean. I think they spent the entire budget on drawing up the outside of the stadium and had no money left for the inside plans or any kind of structural planning. I really don't think it looks remotely possibly to build that thing.

Although the Red Sox are the home team, both them and the Yankees will be wearing their home uniforms in London because Major League Baseball wants the pinstripes to be displayed in front of the foreign audience.

Too bad the stadium won't be in The Show. Same goes for the Opening Series in Japan this year.

EDIT: I miss the days of ASB. It had both the Tokyo Dome and Hiram Bithorn Stadium.

He needs to take care of his health/heart. I'm sure this was mutually arranged with the new GM and all, as well. The Giants are shaking things up for the future, and I think this will ultimately be the best move for all parties involved (including and especially Bochy).

Yeah, Bochy's health has declined quite a bit over the last couple years. You could even see it in him physically now too. He probably doesn't have the will to go through a whole long rebuilding process either.

Great guy and a pretty damn good manager too.

Bauer sounds like a guy that needs a good punch to the face AND groin. I can't imagine spending 8-9 months a year in his presence.
