To me it doesn’t matter whether he was the intended target or not, he’s the one that had a bullet go through his body and is recovering from that trauma.

      That doesn't make sense.

Maybe there was no affair and the reports of such were in error.

Hey is is time to slander Bryce Harper or are we going to wait for that? Because I have a pretty list of some real offensive juggernauts that are out-hitting him.

Now's a good of time as any!

          Let's hear that list.

            Let's hear that list.

Bryce Harper's contract is worth 23 million a year. Here's a list of players who you could afford for 23 million dollars, all of which are hitting better than him:

            Ozzie Albies: 5 million dollars
            Tyler Flowers: 6
            Bryan McCann: 2
Dansby Swanson: team control, half a million dollars

Oh wow, we have 10 million dollars left after buying out the bottom half of the Braves' lineup.

Countryboy, you're a Cardinals fan so let's throw Paul DeJong into our buggy (4 million) and I'm a big college baseball guy so I'll add Whit Merrifield (another 4). Let's spend the other 2 million on some pitching

But none of those players are outfielders, you might say. Well, there are 34 qualifying outfielders hitting better than he is.

            Thirty-Four.

I'm going to list seven outfielders hitting better than Harper. One of which is actually hitting worse than Harper, one of which is a college baseball player. Tell me which one is which.

            Jeff McNeil
            Dwight Smith Jr.
            Nicholas Castellanos
            Ryan Olenek
            Domingo Santana
            Avisail Garcia

What is this? If they make the playoffs where do they play?

I'm starting to think Manfred should be fired.

Seriously, I hope this is true. Montreal could be on their way to getting a team back!!

Yeah, but that isn't really how it works. Do the 23M exercise again but with guys who were free agents last offseason and fit/fill the Phillies roster's necessities.

Montreal sucks sooooooo much that the Tampa 'Freaking' Rays (who average 5K fans a night) don't even want to move there permanently. Ya hate to see it.

If you're asking me to overpay for a pedestrian outfielder or keep my two young, promising, team-controlled outfielders and Andrew McCutchen I know what I'm taking.

                          That's not why.

Tampa would get a new stadium but would cheap out on costs by not playing games at home during rainier season, meaning they wouldn't need a roof. Games played in Montreal for that other half.

Montreal would absolutely need a new stadium as well if any regular season games are gonna be played there.

I'm trying to figure out how the answer to a team that can't build a stadium is that somehow they're going to get 2 new stadiums and split time.
