Shocking about Hamilton. Always liked him as a player...not flashy or superstar material, but the kind of guy that played exceptional defense, could run, and knew how to play. RIP...

Just turned on High Heat to hear about Hamilton, and jumped straight on here to see what was reported. What a sorrow tragedy. Respected his years as a Giant in the late 90s.

Ouch. I backed him as long as I possibly could, but even if he did this once I can no longer. Even after his death, he will probably never be voted in anymore.

Updated All-Star voting numbers in about an hour. Hopefully I can put my Shenanigans broom away for the next 3 weeks.

Looks like the MLB have started to fix the AL voting. Miggy passed Hosmer, Cespedes passed Rios, and Trout passed Cain. And it's a lock that Altuve and Cruz will pass Infante and Morales eventually, probably by the next update. Lol.

I should've voted Martin then. I voted Vogt cause I wanted him to pass Perez. Though Perez is one of the Royals who does deserve to be in the game.

LOL Jays fans. Smoak over Pujols in voting. Not even I would've voted Smoak if I was voting biasedly. Devon Travis was having a great (ROY worthy) season before injury, but still surprised seeing him in top 5 for 2B.

Donaldson so close to Moustakas! Come on people, vote Donaldson! He deserves to be starting in ASG. He's been Jays best hitter this season and best 3B as well.

Altuve less than 500k behind Infante.
Donaldson less than 35k behind Moustakas
Cruz less than 300k behind Morales

So there's still 7 Royals who'd be in,but if enough people continue to vote,it'd just be down to 4 Royals.

Eerily similar to the Steve McNair situation. Sad. He was one the few analysts I enjoyed on MLBN.
McNair had lots of skeletons that were exposed too...hope this doesn't play out like that. Good player, great analyst and was always smiling.

I'll miss watching him on MLBN.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Always good to link to stuff:

New documents obtained by Outside the Lines indicate Rose bet extensively on baseball -- and on the Reds -- as he racked up the last hits of a record-smashing career in 1986.
