The QO penalty doesn't end until like the first Thursday in June or something. So I can't see many holding out that long unless their Agent is Boras.

Who's left at this point? Imo we'll see at least one.

Yea I could see a couple holding out a la Drew and Morales in '14.

Dave Henderson was a really, really good player in his own right that was overshadowed on those insanely good A's teams. There was a more notable "Dave" in Dave Stewart or Dave Parker and also a more notable "Henderson" in Rickey Henderson, not to mention the attention the Bash Brothers and Eckersley got. I would take the '89 A's versus any team of that decade. And, boy oh boy, La Russa managing, Sandy Alderson as GM and Walt Jocketty as farm director...

Not a lot of people remember Hendu's heroics in the '86 ALCS. Without his homer, Buckner couldn't happen.

Prince Fielder signed with Tigers on January 28th. January 10th is no big deal.

It was just arbitrary. I just haven't seen so many notable FAs out there that long but then as pointed out by Showtyme I forgot about Prince.

Holding out for a better deal didn't work out all that well for Stephen Drew and Kendrys Morales. I doubt it happens again with starting-caliber players. The only case in which I see this happening again is if a team attaches a QO to a player that declines it but isn't deemed worthy of a draft pick by the other 29 clubs.

I think Ian Kennedy fits that description no?

                      So sad about Hendu.

That man made(or I should say was part of making) the 1986 W.S. the biggest rollercoaster rides in sports history.
I guess it's lost now, 30 years later, just how insane that post season was.

He was a player I would take on my team any day.

Not really. Ian Kennedy is worth a draft pick. Especially if a team has already lost 1 or 2 on signing previous free agents this off season. Remember, J.A. Happ is getting $12 mil per season. Mike Leake. Goes to show how desperate teams are for starting pitching.

Watching MLB Network's Top Plays of 2015 countdown...man, what a great season it was. I seriously can't wait for ST to start...come on, baseball!

There seemed to be an inordinate amount of ridiculous plays this year. From Arenado to Pillar to Trout to general Simmons absurdity and so much more. Seemed like even more than usual.

                                Agreed.
The 2015 season was such a great, entertaining season.
SO many great young players introduced while other already young stars continued to shine.

Really looking forward to the 2016 season. I'll be getting the MLB package once more.
My biggest issue with this purchase was constantly flipping from game to game trying to see as many of these stars as possible.

Now if only I could find a way to get MLB Network in my neck of the woods.
Come on Rogers! Open this up to other Canadian providers already!
