I hope Bryce Harper, Manny Machado and Josh Donaldson are watching what's going on with David Price. I'm not saying they're likely to be as intimidated and out of their depth in a big media market as Price seems to be but they're 3 guys with quirks to their personalities like Price and what's going on with him could very well be the fate of those three. (I would peg Donaldson as the most likely to self implode though if Machado got into some needless controversy he'd be ripe for a downfall as well)

It might've done Price more good if he had signed with the Cardinals....

I don't know. I think STL's fan base is one of the more loyal and seemingly intelligent ones out there. They always have a full house it seems and when watching a game when ATL plays there, I always hear their crowd clap, boo or whatever very loudly at the right times at the right plays.

Most of them are ok just like for any other fan base. But, they do have some dullards that give them a black eye (just like for any other fan base). It just so happens that the whole "best fans in baseball" schtick, complete with a racist Twitter account, caught on strongly enough to become the source of ridicule for anyone who does not root for the Cardinals. I believe Deadspin used to (or maybe they still do) run a sarcastic post every single time the Cardinals lost a game so people could share in the schadenfreude in the comments section, lol.

I've been to a couple of different Busch Stadiums for Cubs-Cardinals games and have never had anything remotely like a problem with their fans. Brewers fans on the other hand....lol

                  You think Fowler agrees?

I saw him interviewed recently and they asked him how he likes St. Louis...I was floored by his response. He said he loves it, feels at home, and that the fans are fantastic. He said he thought it would be weird coming over from the Cubs, but it has felt right from the beginning and he's glad to be there.

Now, maybe he's just giving the "right answers", but I was pretty surprised at his response.

That's tough. Considering what happened this off season, I consider that question being thrown at him was on purpose. Fowler is too smart to get caught in that.

He's there for a few years. Can't start throwing fire.

Steve Phillips was on local radio here today and made the suggestion that maybe MLB should look at putting a team in Vancouver rather than Montreal. It's an intriguing idea. Canada is a big enough country where you can split the rooting interest between east and west like that. The major issue is there isn't a stadium and the one that's there right now got refurbished to the point that it's solely a football venue.

It's a nice pipedream but I think the best case for another team in Canada is still Montreal.

Don't think Vancouver should get MLB team. It's nice for a Seattle series and all, but could they get fans interested for 81 home games, especially if it's a Canucks-like run franchise.
Montreal I think would be only suitable place, and all that's stopping them seems to be a stadium.

There was a spectacular discussion on MLB Network today during MLB Now about bullpen usage. Like 10 minutes worth. It was so good with really nice, simple-to-understand analysis.

I hope they put it online at some point.
