What are they "trying out?" I know exactly how it works. What intel will they gather from that? And how will my voice be heard around said intel that is gathered?

If they're really concerned about this kind of thing, they should just have games end in ties. After all, we all saw how well that worked with the 2002 All Star Game.

If they didn't do the pitch clock, they sure as hell won't do the runner on 2nd. Now, if game times increase this year, after Manfred backed down on the pitch clock, all bets are off.

Also, I'm already tired of announcers trying to make the mound visits thing more confusing than it is, just because they don't like it. Pick your battles.

Okay...the blackout rules have got to go. All day I've noticed the Cubs/White Sox are on MLB Network, so I was looking forward to catching the Cubs plus seeing Moncada. Of course, the game comes on and since I'm in the Chicago viewing area I get the Harry Carey documentary instead of the game. The game is being played in ARIZONA...how is them blacking it out in Chicago encourage me to go to the game? Just stupid...

I see this as strikingly similar to the college football overtime which I absolutely hate.

I'd be curious to know if there are those who hate this rule but embrace the CFB OT.

I dislike CFB OT rules...feels very arcade like. A game that was 24-24 can end up being 54-48 in a blink.

They want you to watch it on a Chicago Sports network.

Nevermind the game may not be available on a local network. I have this problem with some ST games not on YES but blacked out anyway because of local rights.

I just hate when my DirecTV decides it wants to record the nationally-televised version of a game when there is a local one available, only for me to try and play it back and find out it has been blacked out.

Two years ago I paid to use a VPN for six months. It was money well spent to avoid all blackout issues. Though now that Giants games are available to stream on NBC Sports Bay Area's website, I don't really have too much blackout fuss with MLB.TV in general. I still have some major quips here and there, though.

The blackout policy really is a bad one, however.

Last night I was blocked out of watching a re-air of Pittsburgh/New York or something.

I don't get the rules at all.

Could be worse. Could be a Dodger fan in LA without the ability to even subscribe to their cable channel.

We pay separately for the YES Network and Extra Innings, and they still black us out of all the replay games. There's no legitimate reason for the way a lot of the rules end up functioning IMO.

Hey man, but he didn't "intentionally consume this steroid." Give him a break. He ordered the #1 at McDonalds and they gave him SteroidBurger instead of Big Mac. Could happen to anyone.
