I would make the All-Star game determine HFA in the World Series again. It actually made the All-Star Game feel important, and separated it from the other sports.

Three hitter minimum. It just drove managers to try to get cute by putting someone in with 2 outs left to circumvent the rule and in my opinion led to more unnecessary pitching changes.

Actually, the one move I'd make is get rid of Manfred... then it would do a lot of wonders I bet. Get the "pace of play" dialogue completely out of the game.
Well it's a good thing the DH won't be in the National League this upcoming season

If I could change an aspect without implementing an actual rule change, I’d move the game away from the HR or strikeout type of offense to more of a put the ball in play type of approach. That will help with the pace of play as well

Praise the lord, if that's true! The person earlier stated last year's rules wouldn't be in, but only mentioned things involving doubleheaders and extra innings.

Then I'd unjuice the ball. EDIT: I'm the same level as reyes the roof above.

From what I read, only the 3 batter minimum will stay, and other changes in 2020 won't happen in 2021.

I hope that's not true. MLB had something with the extra playoff spot. Especially for the 2021 season when fans are hopefully/more likely going to be allowed in attendance closer to September, I'm sure it would be better for them to have that 7th team in.

Since NL DH is off the table for now, the one thing that I would change about baseball is for us to somehow forget that sabermetrics ever existed. I love data and analytics, but I can't help but correlate some of (what I perceive to be) the problems in today's game with them. Extra emphasis on pitching strikeouts and home runs, less emphasis on solid contact, small ball, running the bases, not letting starters face a lineup 3 times, etc. More precisely, for baseball just to go back to a time where pitchers were concerned about control and batters were just concerned about getting on base in any way possible.

Less strike outs generally comes with shorter pitch counts. Contrary to popular belief, longer pitch counts is the greater cause to longer games right now than anything else.

Very easy - DH in both leagues.

But how would you accomplish this? A rule? Or just a mindset you wants teams to employ?

It’s just wishful thinking on my part, I have no idea how you’d go about making this happen unless we’re moving the fences out 100 feet

                              Gotcha.

I'd love for 80s ball to come back. Speed and defense.

Stop moving in fences in parks and take the juice out of the ball.

Or as someone once joked on here, make a strikeout worth two outs instead of one heh.
