What did the Dodgers get back in this?
Just because a guy has been traded twice doesn't mean jack. Prospects get traded all the time. Peraza is still a prospect.

No one said he isn't a prospect...but I've been saying for over a year now he isn't a top prospect. IMO, his ceiling is a utility infielder...I've been wrong before though.

FWIW he's the 24th ranked prospect in baseball so there's that I guess.

With the players the Dodgers acquired they might try and trade for jose Fernandez again without having to give up Julio Urias and Jose De Leon.

Yes, I know people are high on him...but IMO his ranking has been propped up by his 2014 season(a solid 339/364/441 season), but his minor league totals are 302/342/387. Furthermore, you said he played well in his short time with LA, but in a 25 PA sample he was 182/250/318.

I watched this guy in ST for the last few years and he continually looked over matched...I just never got the uber prospect status.

I was at every game he played in with the Dodgers. Don't let that 182 fool you. He hit a lot of balls at players. Made good contact. 25 PA isn't a very large sample size. He played very good defense as well. I get it you aren't high on the guy and that's fine. I simply let HO know what the Reds were getting that is all.

By the time the season starts Joey Votto, Devin Meseraco, Zack Cozart, and Billy Hamilton will be the only players (position players) from Opening Day left. Bruce and Phillips will be gone most likely. Sounds like Phillips to the Nationals is very close.

Don't count on it, lol. I have a feeling Cincy is far from done stripping down this "Big Red Machine." Hamilton is no lock to still be there. In fact, Votto is the only one I'd say has no real chance of being moved.

I wonder if there's any way the Jays can get him as it seems the Reds are doing an absolute tear down.

Anywho, I feel bad for him. He's a helluva talent but it looks like he'll never see a playoff game again.
