Part of Athletics’ logic in signing Madson is that they can’t afford big FA hitter. Spend money where they can. Looking at starters too.

Rumors are they may not try to acquire another outfielder. They may move Gose or Maybin to LF and keep Collins as the 4th outfielder, but anything can happen at the Winter Meetings the next few days.
