Jeez...I just saw that fight in the TOR/TEX game. Honestly, that slide by Bautista isn't really tolerated anymore but Odor went a little out of his head there. Big props for Joey Bats for not falling down onto a heap after taking that shot to the face.

These two teams clearly still hate each others guts.

I'd pay to see an Odor/Bautista MMA fight

Bautista should get suspended too. He was also cocking his arm and making a fist but Odor beat him to the punch, literally.

This Braves team will rival that 2003 Tigers team. I've been predicting 45ish wins and they aren't even on pace for that.

This fight will have interesting ramifications. Bautista broke the slide rule with his slide to second, and it was obvious he was looking to punch as well. Gotta think Odor gets 7-10 games for that, but Bautista should get the same. Donaldson came running in like a bat out of hell after Odor, too. I don't know if he threw any punches, though.

Fangraphs has the Braves record a bit worse than they have played so far (should have 11 wins instead of 9) and they predict them to finish at 60-102. I do think the Braves have played poorly, but they have also played some really good teams to start (of course, when you're this bad everyone else is a good team). I said at the beginning they'd be in the 70-80 win area...I am thinking more like 65-70 at this point.

I think you could be right on the length of suspensions. I could also see some of the other Jays and Rangers players being suspended too. I think I saw Pillar and another guy throw a punch but I could be wrong.

Either way, some hefty suspensions and fines are going to be levied.

I will be surprised if they reach 65 wins at this point. Unless something just clicks and the younger players really start hitting well and playing well, this team is going to lose 105+.

Also Gibbons is getting suspended and fined for coming back on the field after being ejected. Also great shot by Odor. Is that slide suspendible? I don't remember if that was announced in conjunction with the new rule. Because if not then Bautista shouldn't be suspended, IMO. Because he didn't do anything. He thought about it but never acted. And you can't suspend a guy for thinking about something.

He did more than think about it...the only reason he didn't land a punch himself is he was interrupted by Odor's fist.

Hhaha Odor's right hook derailed that train of thought.

Yeah that's a good point about if that slide is suspendable. Bautista definitely went through the bag and slid very late. I think if they have the ability to judge intent, they'll definitely suspend, but who knows if they can do that.

You can see Bautista ball a fist, but he just wasn't able to get a punch off.

Alright I was just based off the quick clip I saw of it and what you guys were saying here. I was cleaning up from dinner when the play came on so I had to rush over to see it.

Also Jr. I saw the slide and it definitely was against the rules. It was late and dirty, no question about that. And I don't know if they can judge intent or not.
