Good win for the Pirates, Cubs are strong. Kang has been on fire since coming back, Cole was dominant as well. Marte is going on paternity leave starting this Monday, highly touted prospect Alen Hanson is coming up for the Pirates.

Quick side point:

Beltre, yet again, makes me laugh. Bautista gets haymakered and Beltre immediately grabs him up in a bear hug and won't let him get close to Odor or anybody else. [emoji38]

That's the first thing I noticed, Lol Beltre the peacemaker.

If Bautista was so upset at being hit, he would have gone after Bush. But it's easier to go after a smaller second baseman than a man who just got out of prison. Well, it was before his dental visit tomorrow...

Matt Bush is like 5'9" and weighs maybe 170 lbs. and is a ***** to boot. No one is afraid of Matt Bush, he's a joke around here, him and his punk brother. Trust me no one is avoiding a fight with Bush.

Odor is a much bigger and tougher target than Bush will ever be.

This isn't necessarily all Bautista as it's the general opinion i've seen from people about the Blue Jays over the last 3 years is that they're a team of crybabies who crowd the plate and whine every time a call goes against them. There's an element of truth to that but like most criticisms from people who don't follow the team day to day it's a bit exaggerated.

I will admit that the antics that went on with the Jays in the 2013-14 seasons where they ALWAYS got PO'ed at the umpires and situations like Brett Lawrie going ballistic painted a bad impression on this organization that has stuck.

Yeah that's the crux of the Toronto/Texas hatred. I was more speaking on the way fans see the team.

But it's not just Texas fans, its alot of people that feel that way about Bautista. And it's all because that silly bat flip, from what I can gather.

.........I don't think this budding rivalry exists solely due to "the bat flip" (Jesus if ever there was a term that I now hate because of how annoying sports fans are, on both the positive and negative side of things). That 7th inning last year and series overall had all sorts of crazy **** and laid the foundation for this.

And this whole "**** happens! Get over it! Beat them on the field!" crap is idealistic garbage. Things happen during sports that highlight characteristics which are unlikable or likable about players, teams and fanbases and said characteristics and actions amplify tensions between players, teams, and fanbases. I LOVE that these players, teams and fanbases see things they don't like about each other (whether perceived or real, pointless or sound) and that they're at each other's throats about it. It's playoff ****ing baseball carried over. You want continuity in your regular entertainment, don't you? Well here you go. Here's some continuity.

They compete, the games are good and memorable, AND there's some actual hatred going on. Everything else said is stupid. I'd almost rather not have any of this happen because these sorts of things bring out the dumbest of the dumb in sports fans and new age internet commentary. Highly frustrating.

I don't think bush did it on purpose, he's a rookie that just came up. The way Bautista acted isn't cool at all in my opinion, Espeacilly trying to take Odor out with a dirty slide afterwords. Kind of glad Odor gave him a good slug in the face. That could have broke Odors leg or damaged his knee.
