I'm tired of this "eye for an eye" mindset in baseball.

I get that you're mad a pitcher hit you; I get you're mad the hitter showed you up on that HR. Learn how to channel the anger and beat them in the game.

I wish a player would step and say that. Say they're mad...but they'll ensure the other guy doesn't beat them again. That's a much better version of revenge.

Unfortunately it's a mindset that permeates through all levels of baseball. I coach a high school team and the head coach talks at least 2-3 games per year about "ear-holing" a player on the other team because he felt that they showed our team up, when the players have no idea what the other team did to show them up.

And this head coach isn't unique from my experiences with youth/HS coaches.

The irony of Odor being upset with that play. This was way worse than what Bautista did, and Odor was the culprit.

That said, there was some joy in seeing Bautista get punched in the face like that.

Quick side point:

Beltre, yet again, makes me laugh. Bautista gets haymakered and Beltre immediately grabs him up in a bear hug and won't let him get close to Odor or anybody else.

Bats ate that... And, Bats is also right, rangers are cowards for waiting for his last AB in their final regular season meeting.

Further, BK hit the nail on the head... Odor's slide in that vid was far worse.

I had this long reply with how MLB should do something but they can't do anything without corroboration with the player's union and I doubt there could be any hedgeway made there. I'd prefer if they go down the NBA's route and make players miss games if they leave the bench (or bullpen); if the players want to police conduct themselves - fine...but at least remove the brawls that do nothing for the sport.

Andrew Benintendi has been promoted to AA. Won't be surprised to see Moncada get the call up within the next week.

The 2nd half of 2017 onward is going to be so much fun. Benintendi, Moncada, Betts, Bradley, Shaw, Holt, Swihart, Vazquez. Devers probably in late 2018.

I think Moncada and Benintendi could actually break camp with the team depending on what they do in the offseason and how they perform in ST. Also Espinoza could make it up by the end of 2018.

In a game in May when the Rangers still have sour grapes over what happened last year in the playoffs? Yes.

Look I know you're a Rangers fan and bias is not going to allow you to look at this objectively. I don't have a dog in the fight. I don't like Bautista and I don't like Bush. Bush hit him intentionally. Plain and simple.

The Rangers had six other games this year to do something like this. Bush is trying to stay on the straight and narrow having a short leash to begin with. The Rangers were up by one run late in the game with Encarnacion and Smoak coming up to bat with no outs. Bautista hasn't been hitting the broad side of a barn lately. The Rangers had to fight tooth and nail to get back from behind earlier in the game.

But yeah, it was "sour grapes." We're going to throw away a game in a division where one game could decide home field advantage or even going to the playoffs.

If Bautista was so upset at being hit, he would have gone after Bush. But it's easier to go after a smaller second baseman than a man who just got out of prison. Well, it was before his dental visit tomorrow...

Yes should have quoted, the rumors that Blue Jay players are mad Bautista got hit lol, sounds like bs to me.
