Agree to disagree, I almost guarantee Chapman is gone. And it'll be a good haul. But yea, Miller is gonna cost something special, unless some team is really bullish, I don't see him getting moved. And I could see a package deal too. Rumors swirling around Sabathia and Pineda, I could see the Rangers ask for a sp and chapman, in exchange for prospects. We'll see.

A team that needs a closer, and has a chance to get arguably the best one. Yes believe me, hell bring back something good, even if he is a rental.

If your in win now mode, you have to. Like I said we'll see.

Im not going to argue with that other guy because there's clearly no point but this is crazy to me. I see people say this a lot and I understand it but here's where im coming from:

Prospects are a gamble. We aren't going to get Mike Trout, we're going to get a guy who at best could maybe one day be a poor man's Mike Trout lol. So if you ask me (knowing full well that it could go wrong) if im willing to give up a couple years of Andrew Miller for a dozen years of our own Ortiz, that's a chance I take 10 times out of 10. Im no scout or doctor, obviously I dont know how his knee is holding up, but based on potential, it would be a no brainer. And the Cubs insistence on keeping him shows they think he's just as valuable. It's a moot point though because they aren't trading him, but he was absolutely the best thing we could've gotten for Miller.

history is against you on this one. 2 month rental who womt sign a new deal and wants to test FA? good luck with that one.

he might bring you a nice piece, but it wont be a good haul (i consider that to be a teams 2 of their top 6 prospects and 2 lotto tickets)

There's Texas who has Gallo, Profar. Washington with Robles, Lopez. Indians have plenty of nice prospects.

I would definitely do Miller straight up for Robles, I don't know if the Nat's would though .We'll see what Cashman has up his sleeve. But I'm just not sold on Schwarber.

lol the delusion is strong with this one. Andrew Miller doesnt bring you back anything near "Mike Trout lite" which i would say is still a perennial all star. hes a good RP, but hes not Kimbrel.

FWIW, i know the yankees asked for Frazier or Bradley and the indians told them they would be moving on. i know the Yankees also asked for and have been scouting sheffield and meija alot.

Chapman could bring back a few mid level prospects. I'm not saying Chappie is gonna bring back the Moncada's of the world. But he could bring back a nice haul regardless.

Miller could bring back something special. Any way I think this is getting redundant. It won't be long to see what ultimately happens.

Archanine, my point was we aren't going to get a major league player, we're going to get a player who is compared to a major league player in some way. Lol this is just annoying at this point.

Indians, Rangers, and Nationals all have great prospects, but not ones that I think we have a shot at. Just looking at the FG article and what Kimbrel got last year, maybe Robles is an option. It'll definitely be interesting. I dont think we have any shot at guys like Gallo. Nationals are probably our best friend going forward.

Two things Mike trout lite, where did you get that? He never said anything about getting back Mike trout lite lol

And uh judging by numbers Miller has been better then Kimbrel at this current time.

I agree, I think it's the Nationals, and I think their tired of never getting anywhere in the playoffs. Cashman could really force their hand.

Robles would be ideal, he's young, but I'd be excited about getting him.

And unlike some people on here. I know well, how desperate teams get in win now mode. Chapman or Miller of course would put Cleveland or Washington in an even better position, and gm's are gonna have to take a long hard look as that deadline clock ticks down.

                        Desperation changes the thinking process.

Desperation also really kicks in when your city wants another championship. Since they haven't had one in over 50 years. They tend to get greedy. Hell look at Boston fans we been championships every year since 2003. You guys should you move Miller will get a good return.

And that's all I'm saying man, if I'm Cleveland who is starved for a championship, likewise with Washington. I'm all in.

Yes I'm a Yankees fan, but if you can get a dominant closer, you do it. Because you don't know how many chances your gonna get.

I get it from the Cubs side of things. Even though their bullpen still needs work. I think Theo knows that team is going to win a title very soon, I'll be shocked if they don't in the next three years.

The window is not as big for other teams.
