I don't get the wanting to trade Felix Hernandez talk/idea. Baffling....

Jon Heyman: White Sox considering selling. Will listen on Frazier, Robertson, and possibly Sale.

I was just saying that we should start listening to offers for him before he turns into Sabathia. I wouldn't deal him unless it was for something substantial as stated earlier. We need to try something different at this point, because whatever we've been doing the last 15 years isn't working. Only players in the organisation that should be untouchable are Diaz and Lewis. And that's only because we'd be selling low. Kind of hard to do when you have 45 K's in 20 innings. But Diaz has Kimbrel like potential.

Lol Sale would probably cost some poor teams entire AAA and AA rosters lol.

            Love this time of year.

That wasn't even his best work. That came in the MLB 16 Trade Discussion thread. It starts with Michael Brantley as TitoFrank (back in like May) and then he returns saying the Indians aren't going to move any of their top prospects for Chapman, and/or Miller.

Peripherals have been heading the wrong way since 2014. Velocity is declining. No, he's no longer an elite pitcher. The nice shiny ERA doesn't hide that.

And the conversation would start and end with a teams 3-5 top prospects. Maybe to the Dodgers for a package centering around Julio Urias?
This is head-bangingly wrong. Felix has negative trade value at this point (AKA, a salary dump guy), so no, you're not flipping your top 5 prospects for him. Just stop it.

There's a canyon between how much Felix is actually worth and how much you think he's worth.

He also has a sub .220 OPP AVG. He doesn't throw 97 anymore, but he can still pitch. And I was only suggesting it to see what we could get. And he has a very team friendly deal, so no question he'd get claimed on trade waivers, or any kind of waivers. He'd have huge value if we made him available this deadline or in the offseason. Do I think he get's moved? Not a chance, but we should listen. And the conversation would start and end with a teams 3-5 top prospects. Dude, trades don't work like this. I hate prospect fetishes more than anyone but nobody is trading Julio Urias or 3-5 top prospects for Felix Hernandez in 2016.

                This is foolish.

You're one game above .500 and are only 5 games out of the wildcard. Why not keep your best player and arguably the face of the franchise? Why would you want to give up winning this year or next and start over when you have the pieces to win now?

IF we were to listen we'd want MLB ready talent, or close to MLB ready. We have holes, primarily in the OF, and 1B, possibly SS, but Marte is playing decent. I'm not advocating a trade of Felix, just saying we shouldn't hang up if someone calls either.

I really wish the Brewers sucked for a decade so we could have loaded up on top prospects like they have/did.

Oh, this guy has been trolling the MLB The Show trade forum for a couple of years using a variety of different aliases. Probably has been banned a half-dozen times or more. The sad part is we can always sniff him out like a dog can sniff out a Terminator because he can't help but be a total jerk to everybody and an epic Indians fan homer. Nobody else on OS has ever been that combination; it's as good of an ID as his IP address.

So you want to take Felix who many teams wouldn't take for just the cost of his remaining salary and trade him for a Top 5 asset in baseball (Bryant), but you draw the line at a reliever with less than 1 year of track record?

Are you sure you're not Jack Zduriencik?

Point 1: Kimbrel has been traded twice in the past 2 years. So he's not the best example of an untouchable.

Point 2: Felix Hernandez will be lucky to throw 90 MPH by the end of his contract the way he's been going. Nobody wants to pay him $25MM per season.

I'll admit it took me a little bit to get the sense and then I asked the question. What are your thoughts on Michael Brantley and it was a more respectable answer than before he is a top 5-6 LF, instead of GOAT.
