And he has a very team friendly deal, so no question he'd get claimed on trade waivers, or any kind of waivers. He'd have huge value if we made him available this deadline or in the offseason. Do I think he get's moved? Not a chance, but we should listen. And the conversation would start and end with a teams 3-5 top prospects. Maybe to the Dodgers for a package centering around Julio Urias?
If I'm the Dodgers, I'm definitely not parting with Urias, especially for a declining King Felix. Your not getting much more then mid level prospects for him now.

Doesn't have to be an overpay, just equal value. What Theo said read to me like "we're going to try for Miller but if it doesn't happen,we'll be alright". Not that he's gonna get Miller for cheap lol that's ridiculous. He has no leverage on us. We'll just keep him. He'll still be cheap next year after whoever (maybe even us) gives Chappie a new deal. The Cubs trade to me says we're not getting Schwarber, which sucks because I wanted him, but it also says Cubs aren't getting Miller. They're not going to put the package together to make it happen I dont think, Andrew Miller is not a guy we NEED to trade.

Mid-level prospects for a top 10 pitcher with amazing pedigree? Yeah ok.

Prime Felix, yes we'd talk. But aging Felix for Urias? No way.

Mets got Thor, and d'Arnaud for RA Dickey, nuff said. There is always an idiotic GM out there waiting to be had. And Felix is 2346764x the pitcher Dickey is or was. Also, Felix just turned 30. Look at what the Phillies got for Hamels, Indians for Sabathia, Mariners for Lee () ect...

Yes but the Dodgers don't have an idiotic GM. No way Urias goes.

i doubt it. theres also alot of other outside assets besides Miller or Chapman (whos not going to bring alot of value back for a 2 month rental) that teams can get for cheaper. teams just have to upgrade their holes, not get the the best option on the market.

schwarber for.miller is a massive overpay, not fair value.

Yes, and that's a glaring hole for alot of teams. In the playoffs and your the Nationals do you want Papelbon closing it out, or a guy like Miller or Chapman . Easy answer. Same goes for Cleveland, Chicago, Texas and Washington.

I wouldn't trade Miller straight up for Schwarber. Your banking on a future DH with bad knees. Sure its enticing to think about what he could do to the short porch in Yankee Stadium, but if he doesn't hit, he's worthless. He's a gamble.

Could have swore a few years ago an M's fan said they'd be World Series contenders after they put in the new OF video board lol.....

Multiple reports are saying the Padres want to trade Andrew Cashner before his start today. Ken Rosenthal is saying probably won't happen though. Conflicting reports.

ill take allen over Miller and Champman easy if it means keeping out top 3 main prospects, not even close sounds like the Yankees are going to have Miller next year and watch Chapman go to FA than, because they wont be getting the haul the fans think they will.

yeah and everyone else would take Schwarber over Miller, 100% of the time outside of Yankees fans.
