No reason for Jays to be making major moves at this deadline. The only thing they need to fix up at this point is pitching.

Get 1 bottom end starter and 1 lefty reliever, and that's a good enough deadline for Jays. Whether people like it or not, I don't think they're gonna keep Sanchez in rotation for much longer, all simply cause of the innings limit. They'd need someone to take over as the 5th starter. And obviously need a lefty reliever since guys like Loup suck.

As for the M's I doubt we do much, we need to get the cupboard full again, all we have now is Kyle Lewis, Tyler O'Neill, and a struggling Alex Jackson, and Diaz should be the definition of untouchable. If we do anything it may be to add a LH reliever, because Nuno sucks, and all we have is Montgomery and Furbush has been on the DL all year. We may also consider unloading the likes of Seth Smith, Gutierrez, Miley and Iannetta if we keep sliding. With Zunino raking in AAA, it will be interesting to see what we do with Iannetta who is blocking the aforementioned Zunino, who hit 2 bombs in his 1st game, then got sent down the next day lol.

Really hoping the pieces start to fall now and that the Giants can bolster the bullpen. Gonna need it after that first half ****show. Feels like even with all the success that they blew like 10 winnable games because of that crap.

But, you have to give talent to get it, and Pom is definitely an upgrade to Buchholz and anything else we have (E-Rod needs more time in Pawtucket). I am glad that we didn't give up Moncada or Tendi for this deal, and signing Groome today makes this a easier pill to swallow.

It could be worse, he could be Jack Z and trade top prospects for roll players.

So not only is the Jay Bruce idea still floating around with the Jays but according to Jim Bowden (Yeah I know I know) the Jays have had internal discussions about Carlos Beltran and Melvin Upton Jr.

Moz supposedly trying to decide what move to make, if any. Cardinals don't want to get rid of anymore top talent, but have holes that need to be field. They could use Alex Reyes to help shore up the bullpen woes.

This has been a very tough team to evaluate.

Really don't get why they'd want those guys this year. Pillar,Saunders,Bautista is good enough OF. Carrera as backup is good enough, and you'll have Pompey for September.

Pitching is all they should even bother getting.

He's developed a new pitch since being in SD that most scouts feel he doesn't have to be so reliant on his FB which he was earlier in his career
