Don't think we'll be in the market for an OFer.

Might be in the market for Lucroy if Grandal doesn't start hitting.

One day the Cardinals need hitting and the next they need pitching.

      Anyway to trade for consistency?
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

How about we package Braun/Lucroy and the conversion starts with Urias and De Leon?

Im over here trying to figure out how the Dodgers are allowed to spend money AND draft and develop talent. I thought you could only do one at a time, someone get Cashman on the phone

The phone would be hung up pretty fast. Urias is untouchable.

It's crazy to see how many really good young pitchers there are in the Dodgers system. I think the Yankees could get one or two of them if the Dodgers came calling for Miller.

Haha... Agreed... Ok start with DeLeon and Holmes then.

Yeah, Lucroy alone doesn't get you those guys, let alone in a package with a deadweight like Braun.

And the Dodgers already have a couple of bat-only corner OFers; they don't need another one. Particularly when Freidman is trying to make the team younger and cheaper.

                    I was mostly kidding...

Braun deadweight huh? Wow that's a new one... Didn't know someone with a line of .307/.367/.522/.889 11 HR 36 RBI is deadweight... No one in the Dodger OF comes close to those numbers.

Yeah because he's going to maintain that while still getting paid a really high salary over the next few years....

I did the math earlier. Before today's game he had 6 years and 108ish million left on his contract.

Because he's 32, under contract for about $20M per year going into his age 37 season. And unless he gets back on the juice, I doubt he will continue to hit 300 plus with solid power and still play good enough defense to justify playing for a NL team

He has a 5 year, $105 million extension kicking in this year. For a one tool player already well into his decline. And a few years removed from the whole "I cheated, lied about it, and tried to cover my own *** by smearing the test collector as a neo-Nazi, before my ***-covering lie got unraveled because I got caught cheating again" thing.

Yes, he's a deadweight. The only way he gets traded is if Milwaukee writes a big check to whatever team trades for him, or if he's tied with another player who actually has real value, like Lucroy.

No one in the Dodger OF comes close to those numbers.
                              Ryan Braun wRC+: 133
                              Trayce Thompson wRC+: 132

And Andre Ethier, who put up a 137 wRC+ last year, will be back sometime this summer. Scott Van Slyke and Kike Hernandez are solid depth pieces. And there's that Yasiel Puig guy too. The Dodgers don't need another corner outfielder.

Top Pirates prospect Austin Meadows got promoted to Triple A tonight. I hope not, but why do I think the Pirates might deal Cutch?
