Re: 2016 Trade Deadline Thread
There's talk of the Cubs looking at Bautista...
Obviously they need middle relief help...but how badly to they need another bat?
Who would they take out of the everyday lineup? Everybody seems to be pulling their weight one way or the otherAustralian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

Re: 2016 Trade Deadline Thread
Would DJ Peterson, Nick Neidert, and Andrew Moore be enough for Bautista, or Freeman? Or are we looking more at Tyler O'Neal, Drew Jackson, and Edwin Diaz? I think we could turn Freeman into a LF, that's why I'd be interested, even though we don't need a 1B. Our 1B platoon has hit 19 HR and 54 RBI.
Just for the record I wouldn't deal Diaz, as he has dominant closer potential, nor would I deal O'Neal, as he's the best hitter in our organization, other than Kyle Lewis, O'Neal is hitting .321/.386/.550 with 12 HR and 55 RBI to go with 20 2B already this year, and he just turned 20. Unless of coarse we get an offer we can't refuse.Last edited by Godgers12; 06-20-2016, 11:44 AM.Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers

Re: 2016 Trade Deadline Thread
Trading Cutch this year is a real possibility, I wouldn't let your guard down yet.
He's team controlled and could return a nice package of prospects and probably a major league ready piece or two.
Most Pirate fans have acknowledged that one day the time would come to trade him but Meadows quick progression may have accelerated that.Comment

Re: 2016 Trade Deadline Thread
No chance in the world that PIT deals someone like that within the division anyway. Gone are the days of pilfering them for Aramis Ramirez etc. That would ruin any goodwill they've generated with those fans for being pretty decent lately.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

2016 Trade Deadline Thread
It's probably Jackson, Peterson and others for Bautista.

Saying all that, give me 'Cutch and they can have O'Neill, Jackson, and whoever the hell else they want.Last edited by Godgers12; 06-20-2016, 03:04 PM.Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers

Re: 2016 Trade Deadline Thread
Luiz Gohara, Alex Jackson, and Mike Zunino or DJ Peterson seems fair for Freeman, idk if I'd offer that much for Bautista though. Also, Zunino is tearing it up in AAA, so there is still upside there, and he is still top notch defensively. Gohara is also a 19 year old pitcher we signed as an international FA few years back, and he's pitched really well last couple seasons, and his velo sits in the 92-95 range.

Re: 2016 Trade Deadline Thread
You think a guy who walked 5/9 at his biggest sample, a guy who can barely hit for the league average in A his second time around, and a 24 year old first baseman in AA or a catcher who has 1000 PA of awful at the MLB level is enough for one of the better hitters in the league under cost control? I wouldn't even deal a half year of Bautista for that solely because I would rather have a comp round pick than any of those prospects except for maybe Jackson at this point.
Maybe we can swindle the Marlins for Stanton?Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers
