Well let me expand a bit further, If the Red Sox are win now, I think it's a good idea. But I agree long term, you keep Mookie, and I imagine he's become a fan favorite now.

Of course pitchers are so susceptible to injuries and Fernandez already has that history. But we all know how good he is.

I have a good feeling about Moncada, he's so young yes, but he's going to be a star.

Just for the hell of it, one more proposed trade idea, Mookie and a pitching prospect for Sale. That in my eyes would be quite intriguing.

I am just not seeing the infactuation of dealing Mookie Betts. He is a lead off hitter with speed, power, contact, solid D, young, cheap, and so far durable.

I would much rather do Benintendi + Espinoza + Swihart/Vazquez + Kopech/Owens + Devers for [insert ace here]. Like most people, I'd rather have that ace instead of the what if prospects, even if two of those above are supposed to be elite, and the rest solid projections.

According to 12up the Red Sox have talked to the White Sox about Chris Sale. Kind of funny as someone brought up Chris Sale earlier.

I think it is safe to say we are hitting up about every team about their ace. The Sox have had talks with Miami, Oakland, and now Chicago.

Red Sox have officially hit up the Braves for Teheran and Vizcaino.

However, the Braves want one of Yoan or Benintendi, and the Red Sox really don't want to deal either.

Not sure how we're going to land controllable pieces, but I see Espinoza being in a package for something significant.

I think if Boston really wants a top flight arm they're going to have to make a tough decision and give up someone they truly prize. That's seems to be the way it's going with these kind of deals nowadays.



In my neck of the woods the talk is getting louder and louder about Bautista possibly being traded. The Jays seem to be auditioning everyone they have for that 4th OF spot in hopes that they can find someone who can be mildly productive. This is something that bears watching IMO.

I don't think Bau gets traded. Think they just let him walk and take the comp pick. And I'm okay with that. No team is gonna give us anything worthwhile at this point. Has to be more valuable than a half year of Bau and a high draft pick.

So apparently DD thinks there could be a deal to be made with the Yankees for one, maybe two, of their elite arms...they are only 3 GB of us...ugh this thinking of his is not good.

Dombrowski must be smoking something really good. It's incredibly hard to make a great deal within the division and even moreso between two franchises that have historical animosity like those two. He better start looking at other areas or be prepared to give up something REALLY good.
