In other news, torn ACL for Wilson Ramos. This, Daniel Murphy might not be ready for the playoffs, Strasburg, Bryce's injury...the DC curse hit and it hit very hard.

Just think about the Mets. Harvey, Matz, Degrom. That's half of their rotation out. Not to mention David Wright too.

Yeah that's gonna be tough for the Jays no matter what. At least Gibbons isn't taking the bait of immediately putting Sanchez in the bullpen but will rather try to stretch out the starters a bit more and we will probably see Biagini pitch two innings at times depending on his pitch count.


BTW as for our argument about the incident last night. Yeah it was an overreaction on the Jays part to some extent but as Majingir said, the Jays have been known to go off the rails and fall for the bait in these situations before. I only reacted the way I did because i'm frustrated at the narrative that the Jays are a bunch of swaggering A-holes when yeah, there is some truth to it but they're not as bad as the perception is from fans and media.

Can already tell David Price will not be my favorite person next month. Woof.

Biagini as 7th inning guy would be fine too, but the way things are going, a bullpen of Osuna,Grilli,Biagini,Cecil,Liriano and possibly Sanchez, is nice to have. Benoit out, maybe Dickey gets added to bullpen, like as an emergency extra arm or something if game goes to extras, or starter goes out early? Cause only need 3 starters for alds, and those 6 I mentioned for bullpen is more than enough. Dickey just as extra insurance would be fine.

Would be nice to beat up on Red Sox/Price in playoffs though, but even in playoffs, you don't tempt fate. 9/10 times he might suck in playoffs, but we could be #10

It's either Sanchez or Stroman in the bullpen, unless you think they'd go with 4 starters in alds? Sanchez past familiarity with bullpen role, along with Stromans good September(3.00ERA,1. 17WHIP in 30IP) could be factors for an ALDS bullpen role for Sanchez. He'd still start the WC game,and be starter in ALCS if they get there.

The one and only pitching advantage the Jays have over other AL contenders is their rotation depth. Why in the world would they squander it? If Gibbons even considers starting Happ/Sanchez on 3 days rest over Stroman/Liriano on full rest, he should be fired on the spot.
