Severino was wild, brushed Donaldson's elbow with a heater that was clearly not intentional. Happ got upset and threw at Headley and missed, he should've been warned at this point but was not. He then threw at him with the next pitch and should've been ejected but was warned. Its garbage. Severino then missed Smoak, should've been ejected but the umpire gave him another shot at it. He hit him in the legs. Then he was ejected.

Basically the whole thing was the Blue Jays fault and I'd be interested to hear from a Blue Jays fan ANY possible explanation as to how it was not. Sev clearly didn't hit Donaldson intentionally, and Happ went after Headley for no reason. Just stupid stuff, and at a terrible time.

Teix's bat flip when the save was blown made it a little better. You can just tell how much fun he's having as his career winds down.

Blue Jays started **** with us last year because Jason Garcia, a Rule 5 pick with noted command issues, hit someone and they assumed it was on purpose. Bautista subsequently messed up his shoulder by trying to throw Delmon Young out at first after he hit a ball through the hole to right field in an attempt to be a wise ***.

It's Donaldson's fault he did the same thing with the Sox, I think. E-Rod came close in and he barked at him. Either that or I am thinking of a situation with Machado, don't fully remember.

Manny also had that incident where he tried to throw his bat at the pitcher and almost hit Donaldson at 3rd when he was still on the A's, this division must just attract that stuff.

Meh, whatever. One internal complaint within the Jays clubhouse is how guys get hit and the Jays pitchers often never retaliate so the one time a Jays pitcher sticks up for his teammate it turns into a cluster....

It's typical but I'm not gonna complain.

It's not like Happ went crazy, he hit headley in the wallet. Headley should've just said something and gone to 1B. That'd be the end of it.

EDIT TO ADD: As I was watching I said to my father who was watching with me. "Oh, Headley's the first Yankee to bat next. I bet he gets plunked." If I knew that and thought nothing more than "well that's just the game" than a damn professional baseball player should be thinking along the same lines.

Since you were watching the game then, you saw that your guy tried to hit him with the first pitch and missed right? Maybe if he had hit him, he would've just gone to first base and not had so much time to think about "hey is this guy throwing at me for no reason?" When he got hit, he didn't even charge the mound, he just stood there confused. He didn't even know what was going on.

In other news, torn ACL for Wilson Ramos. This, Daniel Murphy might not be ready for the playoffs, Strasburg, Bryce's injury...the DC curse hit and it hit very hard.

And for jays, it's a lot about the fact that teams have done this in the past too. If it's an overreaction to one incident,then fine,its jays fault. But....Rangers hitting Bautista in his final at bat vs them,6 games into the season series,all cause of a batflip, Os fighting Jays cause O'Day and Jones don't like their attitude, Royals fighting Jays cause Jays retaliate once, after Royals intentionally hit 2 guys and try hitting one of those guys a 2nd time too......

Ya sure, Jays are the common denominator in these 4 fights over past 13 months, but people shouldn't act like they're just waiting to pick fights with people. Those teams know the Jays rep and know if those teams put the bait out there, Jays players will bite hard.

Teams love pitching Jays hitters inside so often,and frustrating thing for Jays hitters is that it increases chances of being hit, and umps call those inside pitches for strikes fairly often too, so it gets frustrating when they do get hit because it was bound to happen if umps give pitchers so much room inside.
