The Mets got in nine pitches before their game was suspended, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game called off that early. Strowman more or less refused to pitch and forced them to call the delay

Phillies were just given a run on a play they didn't even touch home plate on and the replay even confirmed they never touched the plate.

Phillies get the illegitimate win. It is nice knowing you don't even have to touch the plate now.

Makes no sense how two separate angles each showed that the plate was never touched yet the call on the field was upheld. It's umpires protecting umpires at this point. Can't overturn it or the HP umpire will look bad or get upset. It's that or the people in NY flip a coin and decide whether to overturn a call or not based off the way the coin lands.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

I like using technology to get the calls right but it does seem that the mlb has the worst track record of all the major sports when it comes to replay.

Yeah, I don't like the replay system at all.
Not necessarily regarding the Braves game itself, but I'm sure Snitker's argument is "You guys can see on the big board that he didn't touch home plate, right? Why can't you make that call for yourself, as opposed to letting the guys in New York decide it?"

My stance still hasn't changed: if replay is to remain, the following needs to happen (again, not necessarily regarding the Braves game itself):
1) The dugout cannot get a green light by phone first to decide whether or not to challenge. You either challenge like a big boy out of conviction from what you saw or what your player said, or you don't.
2) Losing a challenge = losing a mound visit (now that there are limits; before that, I used to say "lose a defensive conference for three consecutive outs).
3) If an umpire on the field sees on the big screen for himself that he would like to reverse his own call, he may do so without New York's decision (or override theirs).
4) Much like umpiring is supposed to be: if in replay you don't see an out then he's safe, and if you don't see a foul ball then it's fair. There is no "incontrovertible evidence to overturn a call" in this case.
5) Not necessary, but I'd like a fifth umpire to be at the game in the press box, and maybe be the one trying to make the decision on his own. When the call is made, he can announce it to the crowd.

If you can't do that, then ditch this replay system. It has not been helpful twice in a row this week (first in the Marlins-Mets game, and now last night's game).
Worst of all, it's slowing the pace of play and making baseball less exciting. I remember when Theo went to the Cubs and they started trading away minor league talent for more of a “win now” roster. I told some of my friends who are Cub fans that he might win you a WS but you will have to do a complete rebuild after it and probably be terrible for a few years.
At the time they all were happy with that trade off just to get a ring.Current careers:

I've always thought that you should get 10 seconds to challenge a call as soon as the play ends. If you miss the window, too bad. If they can't reach a conclusion in the video review after 60 seconds then the play stands. Lastly, even if audio isn't included, we need to be given video feed of the review office. Show what they're looking at and show an angle showing them looking at the screens.
Also, have it explained why a call is overturned over PA. Time limits on reviews are needed more than time limits on pitchers.
