I was listening to an A's game on the radio and the announcers went all in on their pitch for it, basically implying that it would idiotic not to go to universal DH. That it's too much of an injury risk for pitchers, and it makes the game look bad to have them even try to hit. You'd think it was like asking pitchers to do the triathlon or something.

Yeah I know that is where I completely disagree with the 'it makes the game look bad' it doesn't it makes it strategic. your 8th hitter is coming up 2 outs 2 on base. your pitcher is at 90 pitches it's a tied game../ does the 8th hitter go all at it on a 3-0 count ?? or walk then have the pitcher come up and bat. will the manager pinch hit the pitcher? or risk having him try and pitch another innings and have to have him bat.

it completely takes away that excitement out of something like that.

The owners have to pay for a extra player having the DH that is why it's such a fight about it.

the expanded playoffs.. I mean if you want the marlins in the playoffs and a under 500 team in the astros too sure. I am sure it makes it more exciting. end of the year as more teams are in it.. but come on a 80 win team doesn't deserve to be in the post season. and that is what will happen.

They renamed Miller Park? American Family Field? That's rather lame

Some are easier to get use to than others.

Miller Park, Safeco Fied, AT&T Park are some of the newer ones which are weird calling it their new name.

It’s now a double illegitimate game in NY, the 7 inning game has gone to extra innings

Extra innings of a 7 inning game feels so weird. So winning in 9 innings of a doubleheader is considered an extra inning win.

The Mets just had one of these scenarios. Up 1-0 in the bottom of the 4th of a 7 inning game they have the bases loaded and one out with the pitcher up. Do you pinch hit and try to break the game open and get three innings from your bullpen or let your pitcher bat. They left him in and he struck out but fortunately the next batter got a hit and knocked in two

Give it time. Miami will be the Marlins we know them to be.

I was halfway kidding, but I do believe the Marlins are the 2nd best team in the NL East if the Braves turn back into the team they are expected to be.

LOL Sanchez being caught stealing that was laughable. the yankees offence is a mess. yankees fans will be in meltodwn soon calling for Boones head (because they always blame the manager for a loss they ran Joe out of Town) they were making a comeback there and then that comedy error from Sacnhez.

And here comes the As too off to their usual bad start then all of a sudden when everyone says they are gone and done they are not far behind 500 now without even noticing.

Jays beat Yankees with the final out going to video review.

Hopefully they can string together some wins. The Rangers and Angels series had been very poor.

Vladdy is looking really fine at 1st. Every time I see the splits I worry about a groin injury.

Let me say this again. Rockies have the worst logo in baseball.

Rays and Cleveland are 2nd, Pirates 3rd (I don't mind the P logo, but not as a primary).

The Colorado flag is actually a nice concept to use for the Rockies.

The Avs in the NHL have their own version as their alternate. Rockies could've too. The Co in the flag, could've made the O look like a baseball, maybe throw the Rockies logo in the background and that would've looked great.
