Vasquez and Murphy off the boards now, wonder how much more valuable someone like a Moreno becomes since there's less options out there.

AA has been killing it for some time now, but I don't know about this deal.

Terrible trade for the Braves, if true. Milwaukee stole Contreras.

              Terrible trade.

Every time I look at a trade the Braves make I hate it, then Anthopolus shows me 4-6 months later why he is a better GM than I am. I'll reserve judgment on this one even if I'm not thrilled from the start. I assume this means Dansby signs somewhere else today or tomorrow.

I would've liked to have seen Contreras get an opportunity as he has a good bat? His fielding and pitch framing was well below average, I'm sure that's why AA dealt him as the bat didn't outweigh the glove/arm.

Murphy is a very good defender and on every metric I have seen d'Arnaud was just as good or better last season.

The one thing I see agreement on (The Athletic / Fangraphs) is that Milwaukee won the trade (which is always tricky since we don't what will be become of the A's prospects for example :P).

                      Stripling to Giants.

                      2 years 25m.

I don't see how Jays didn't sign him as a 4th or 5th starter if that's all he cost.

If AA does one of his classic stealing you blind extensions with Murphy and trades d'Arnaud for something else that looks better.

Apparently, the Reds need a new stove. Because we are doing NOTHING.

Here's to the 2023-2024 hot stove season. With Moustakas and Votto off the books, there will be no more excuses, but I'm sure Bob and Phil will find one.

I hate defending owners, but I feel like I have to defend Bob somewhat. He's barely worth $400M, been losing money from his food wholesale company, laid off ~200 employees, and recently restructured his company into a supply chain business. Not an excuse, but this may be a lot of the reason behind the fire sale last off-season and lack of movement this off-season.

I really think he's going to sell the team in the next year or two, but trying to sell right now, while more valuable teams (Angels, Nationals, etc.) are available, is probably not smart.
