White Sox sign Andrew Benintendi but I didn't hear the terms
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I can't believe Atlanta wasn't in on this. 15mil a year for a player that put up 3.2 WAR last year and who's only negative WAR year of his career was 2020.

I feel like AA missed one here.

Mr. Flood belongs in the HoF but at least he's in more exclusive company with his truer peers:

and it's long overdue for the Cardinals to retire #21

Defensively they're a better team today vs last season, but offensively they're not, and pitching wise they haven't really improved.

Kiermaier was also the guy in the middle of the whole play card controversy where he picked up the Jays card that fell out of their catchers pocket and brought it back to the Rays dugout. Most of the Jays guys from that game are now his teammates.
I thought it wasn't a bad signing if he was going to be the fourth outfielder but I see his salary is $9 million and the Jays ain't paying $9 million to a fourth outfielder. It also seems the organization gave him some assurances he would be starting, according to what he told the media.

The idea of him being a starter is remarkable to me considering he can't hit a lick, his best defensive days are behind him and he just had hip surgery in August.

                    $5M/year? It’s $25M/year…and I’d rather spend $25M/year on Dansby.

Yeah I just missed my 1 in 15M. We're clearly in a holding pattern because of Dansby but $15M/yr for an age 27 player at a position of need isn't a huge ask.
