we are almost 50 years into the free agent era.
if big spending owners were gonna ruin baseball, that would have happenedlong ago.
the fact is, man cannot kill baseball, the greatest game ever invented. and lord knows man has tried

the DH couldnt kill baseball, neither could peds, gambling, strikes and lockouts, earthquakes, floods or fires.
heck. even Manferd and Selig couldnt ruin baseball, as incompetent as they are/were

I don't care I hope Correa fails and is a disaster 12 years for the mets. Hope he can't play this year and needs back surgery.

      Yes I am angry.

And the Braves have a world series and their own players locked up for a decade without having to overpay ridiculous long contracts for over 300 million
bit like the Astros... Padres another one who already overspend the Kemp years then had to sell again now trying to go nuts again and if they can't get a WC it is another failure.

Dodgers and Mets can keep spending all the money they like it doesn't buy you a world series anymore it isn't the 90s anymore.

Glad to see Correa and The Mets were able to get your mind off Tom Brady for one day.

Why the hostility towards Corrrea? Do you think he just decided nah I want less money I’m going to The Mets. This is on The Giants

I'm seeing a lot of different speculation on what the medical issue with Correa was, but one thing I keep seeing pop up is that the Giants found PEDs and were concerned. I'm sure it's just rumors, but that would look poor on the Mets if they didn't do their research.

nah F''' the mets for swooping in late at night so I want to see Correa fail now as well because he couldn't wait a day for a physical. we don't even know the reason yet. If the giants said they were gonna pass on him because of it then perhaps it is on them. we will have to wait and see.

and now nobody we got in free agency.. as for Brady year even when he is losing it is covered to death on ESPN until he loses in the playoffs I will be happy .

Baseball would be better if more owners were like Cohen versus some of these owners that don’t know what a dollar is.

He had a physical that is how this whole thing started. There was a difference in opinion about the results of the physical. Doctors cleared Correra but the Giants disagreed with the doctors.

The Giants then wanted to renegotiate his contract based on their opinion of the results. Correra refused to negotiate so he went back to other offers and negotiated with the Mets.

I don’t know how it’s F the Mets when all they did was sign a player that apparently the Giants no longer really wanted and was a free agent.

Reports stating that the Giants issue was an ankle injury that Correra sustained when he was 19 years old in the minor leagues.

Pavlovic was told by sources that the Giants grew concerned about an ankle injury Correa suffered when he was playing in the minor leagues in 2014. Correa was a 19-year-old prospect at the time and injured his leg while sliding into third base. He underwent surgery to repair a fractured right fibula and a ligament.
Yeah....this comes across that the Giants got cold feet about their investment and were looking for a way to reduce their investment, or worse yet, a way out of the deal entirely, which I guess if that was the case, they succeeded.

If true this is a bad look for the giants. Free agents might be hesitant to deal with them now.

Not even the worst part of it. Imagine having your whole family all fly in from the east coast and having to wait hours from a response back from them after postponing 2 hours earlier from the press release.
